The New Flightsim.to

Recommended Posts

I certainly do not like the new design but it is what it is. I won't visit there as much. I just bookmarked the scenery map, which is most useful to me, and will just launch directly to that page from now on.

The new site is a total disaster - failing in so many ways that it's laughable. I'm a Web Developer in my day job and would rate this new site layout 1/10 overall - compared to 9/10 for the old layout.

For the way I use the site it's only a modest downgrade rather than the complete implosion expressed by others... 😥

There is no way the old site gets a 9/10 lol. I'd give it a 4 or 5 tops.

Agree that this redesign is pretty bad, need a bloddy 4090 to render it, very MSFS-esque!!

Seriously though, their Discord is just notification channels, and the feedback link on the new page is a dead-end. When you see A320 cups taking up a third of the screen, its a meme.

Hi,

I was just prepared for my daily visit at flightsim.to, after it was offline for a few hours.

The previous version (IMHO) was just perfect, not yet convinced the new one is better. But perhaps it's just me growing old.

Kind regards, Michael

I am not convinced yet but I am sure they will figure it out soon. I think I attempted to log in and kept getting a "bad request" error. I gave up.

The old site worked just fine.

Thank goodness to having more than one hobby.

There was already a noticeable decrease in new uploads following their handling of the "premium" debacle earlier this year. This "word not allowed" won't help improve things.

What's going on with this coffee cup fetish with giant images on the first page? We now have to see 1 million different giant coffee cups every time we log in? This is what's bothering me most really. Someone give me a way to censor coffee cups... The planes I fly don't even have a place to put them.

With the exception of those childish servers filled with animated gifs I think Discord is ok. This is worse.

In one of my old jobs, an informal side duty became sitting with the IT people whenever new programs were rolled out and then writing up a summary for my co-workers in "English", after which I would go around helping people learn the new system.

So I'm the weirdo who thinks new things are fun.....

The changes at flightsim.to seem fairly Intuitive. If you've successfully made the switch from windows 10 to windows 11, then you've got this!

It's a single user uploading a ton of skins for the FBW Coffee cup.

Oh my. Never imagined people using a simulator to fly an aircraft could care about what type of coffee cup they have in a place where they shouldn't be looking at, but to each their own I guess.
