Beyond ATC Full flight demo

Two things they need to fix immediately for me.

1. They need to work on the regional voices. I don't believe we have controllers with heavy accents in the US and I listen to ATC half of my workday on multiple freuqnecies, airports and US regions.

2. These voices of the controllers are way too clean, it needs to be "radioed" more.

Other than it, this is exciting stuff.

My ATC program, will not let you take the runway, until any aircraft on final has landed and cleared the runway.

That itself isn't very good either though, way too much wasted time. As soon as the landing aircraft passes by your runway entry point, and you are next to go you should be getting lined up and rolling by the time that aircraft is off the runway.

I watched one of the videos that they did from YVR to SEA and couldn't watch it past him getting airborne. No SID in the IFR clearance, wrong initial altitude, the taxi routes were all horribly wrong (maybe it is more because the default airports in MSFS rarely use accurate taxiway names).

Frankly, I am not in that much of a hurry. I don't work for Southwest. 😉

LOL fair enough, but the ATC should be and it's how it's done outside.

The developer of B-ATC said this, about why he won't (yet) add AI control:

Thanks for posting.

So I will look at B-ATC again when MSFS2024 is released and they start working on B-ATC 2.0.

However there is still hope that MSFS2024 will make any external ATC addon obsolete altogether because MS/Asobo finally get their act together and include a decent ATC/AI system in the sim itself.

I fear that people will be disapointed again because some of you have way too much expectations.

an ATC program is here to give you some immersion no to fully depict the traffic and the ATC of O'Hare at peak hours. Sure, you are going to be disapointed because I'm not sure the current technology allows it anyway

I think their approach is prudent. We don't know any details, but we know Asobo is giving the AI engine a complete overhaul. And it is better to wait and see what they will come up and what will change.

We have to keep in mind that BeyondATC is a very small team, of I believe just 2 people at the moment, they don't have the manpower to waste on trying to fix something that maybe won't even that much fixing in a year or will be much easier to access from the outside in a year.

I am also waiting for UFO's to land.

Agreed. There are way too many requests on Discord for features a lof of people probably never even heard of. A lot of people want and expect B-ATC to be utterly perfect and act a 100% like the real deal. That simply won't happen. Also everyone wants or expects something different from ATC and as we all know you will never please everybody. I am a 100% sure that once B-ATC has been released we will get raving reviews from some while others will burn it down completely. (What else will be new. 😉 )

The perfect ATC that does everything is a pipe dream. We have an incredible amount of third party ATC software, we have every single major flight sim developer who has their own iteration of an ATC and none of them are even close to the perfect solution. Start a thread asking for which ATC program you should look into and you'll get as many different recommendations as there are replies in the thread. People need to turn down their expectations a notch or ten, applaud when we see so some actual progress and then just hope that becomes an iterative process towards what we all want. Don't expect miracles right out of the gate.

Or on finals, I'd say. 😉 There always will be things that aren't possible to simulate a 100%.

Edited a typo. Shame AVSIM doesn't give you a minute or two to correct small errors...
