I found it.  It's in Program Files\WindowsApps.  You probably have to get permission to open the folder (it's a hidden folder too).  I'd do a Google search on how to do that.

I can only warn anyone to modify permissions of folders manually, if he's not an absolute expert in these things and knows what he's doing. Don't blindly rely on Google as I did.

I hosed my complete Windows system once this way and had to reinstall it - I'm sure I'll not touch these folders again myself.

Kind regards, Michael

Been studying this thread with interest.  I have a 4070 and a couple of questions:

1) Where is that nvngx_dlss.dll file?  I have marketplace version, and I cannot find that file anywhere.  I have hidden files turned on to view.

2) What is everyone doing about the screen flickering with Frame Generation.  I really can't use FG because it gives me a headache.

Turn off Bloom to eliminate the flickering. It's a bug.

You should have that file inside your MSFS folder. I have MSFS Steam version and the file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator

Heh, the latest DLLSG .dll version comes with a watermark, so perhaps don't use the very latest if you want to avoid that 🙃

flightsimulator_udcrk7xiqe.jpg

Plus, it feels super juddery, does not look smooth at all. Back to original FG .dll

Use 3.1.10 works great here super smooth

I basically did the same Michael last year when attempting to get full access to the MSFS protected folder.  I have a well known batch file called "Take Ownership", it installs an entry into the right click context window so you can select any files or folders, right click and select Take Ownership and it will edit the permissions of those folders and sub folders.  I did this on WindowsApps folder and gained access but from that moment MSFS refused to start up, it gave a CTD each and everytime.  Repairs failed to work, System Restore failed to work, watching videos and attempting to restore permissions back to default failed to work.  Only resolution was to format my system.

With 3.1.30 (DLSS - DLAA) and my 3080, I have floating runway and taxi lights ;(

EDIT : my floating lights are fixed after updating my nvidia drivers to 536.67

I changed the DLL with this 3.1.30 and things improved here with my 3080

Just installed 3.1.30 too.

A little pity that the small watermark exists at the top but in my home cockpit I do not see the top of the display.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see any watermark. Anyway this DLL is giving me more fps, about 50 in the Fenix A320 cockpit.

surely you're not getting 50 fps from only changing DLLs?

here a screenshot, there was a gain of about 10fps. With FSLTL active I get about 45fps.
