Why not just congratulate them for a fine achievement? Girl can be defined as young or relatively young women. Of which they are. Or is girl now politically incorrect and you'd rather debate that? Brings to mind something I've wondered about.... last time I checked it was "actress". Now it's all actors. Women are now "actors". What's wrong with actress? August 25, 20232 yr My theory: stewardess, actress... rhymes with 'less'? But actor rhymes with 'more'?? Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).
August 25, 20232 yr We went to one of the games with my daughters as we are a host nation, my kids loved it. All I can say from seeing it is the women play better then men, I will put it this way... The Girls play soccer like Women, and the Men play soccer like Girls 🤣 Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

We don't say artistess or doctoress or pilotess, etc. Now that airlines have flight attendants, do you want to create "flight attendantess". How about "nurse"? It traditionally implies a female but, as there are increasing numbers of male nurses, should we "back engineer" a separate word for male nurses? Dugald Walker

It sort of fits in with this whole movement towards "gender neutral" pronouns. I can't remember when stewardesses became flight attendants but I assume that's what a majority of them wanted after the old airline commercials like "I'm Judy. August 26, 20232 yr One of my good friends took a job at United Airlines back in the 1970s stewardess era when she was in her early 20s. She is Navajo from Texas so going to Chicago was exciting, back then they hired you for your looks, her first week they cut her hair off short at a salon in Chicago everyone got one, even though she is Navajo they aren’t supposed to cut their hair as it has cultural significance but she loved it, her mom and grandma were angry about that though. Back then they measured you and weighed you and the job was focused on service not safety. Very different times of course you can’t do any of those things anymore. today of course the training is far more extensive and focused on safety over service the job is very different now, so the title Flight Attendant is far more suited Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
