Great addon i must admit but not without its issues,1 degree over 20 degrees nose up and you lose 7 points, think some of the penaties points need to be revised, but as i said earlier great addon.

I’ve put in a suggestion to stop the penalty for pausing. Sometimes the sim gets wonky and I have to disable then enable online functionality again to cure some stutters and I get dinged for pausing the sim. Really annoying if you need to chance a setting to lose points.

There is no landing glance in APL V2, only landing rate and landing Gforce. Dunno where you got this glance from.

I've tried so long and hard for the dev to change this pause penalty.  They argue RW pilots don't get to pause so why should APL pilots skip this RW attribute?  Well, that's a complete crock of sheet, old smelly sheet.  For starters THEY DO let you pause during climb, and during initial approach phases and correct me if I'm wrong but those are the two times of all flights where the pilot's focus is most intense.  So that rationale doesn't float.  The other reality is that the dev nor the guy on Discord who does everything in his power to dis change don't appreciate how all customers use APL.  It's exceedingly rare I can stay w/ a flight the entire time, even short ones.  I might have to run to the store to pick up X, or suddenly need to leave to help someone do something, or maybe I want to go out to catch the news etc.  So this translates to me having to re-do the same flight over to accommodate the rest of my life needs.  Sure, I can just take the penalty, but TBH I only use APL for the scoring of each flight and strive to always stay over 99% in my rating.  So no, I don't want the penalty.  Or, perhaps I need to alter a setting in the sim for whatever reason.  So I use the sim and APL when I can which might be I have 40 minutes to dedicate at that moment.  There is NO GOOD REASON for a pause penalty.  I asked the Dev to consider running a poll and the poll is to ask users if they would be okay if an OPTION under settings was added to allow any user to disable the pause penalty, this way you can do whatever you prefer.  He finally agreed to, but I haven't seen it and it's been many months now.  The schedule generator is my other pet peave.  Poorly designed logic often necessitating hitting the refresh button 15 times until you have something you actually want.  Oh yeah, RW pilots don't get to choose their exact schedules.  And RW pilots make lots of $$ for their work as well😉

Given  seniority level captain get to pick their schedule as per my friends in airlines. I agree penalty for pause is ridiculous. Real life there is at least first officer to back you up

another point to improve from my point of view is that once the flight schedule is generated we can choose the order in which to make the flights, with arrows to go up or down according to our interest to make a flight or another.

Spot on, Noel. I personally didn't have too much problems with the pause penalty anymore after the dev changed it so that it only kicks in after 10 seconds, but I see your point. And yes, Kurt moderates the Discord channel in a rather condescending way, discouraging and closing any suggestions for features, however politely they are brought forward. He is really doing APL a disservice and contributed to my waning interest.

I needed a break from APL right after I made it to captain. I discovered that Newsky.app has made great progress over the last year and is now very enjoyable. APL is a great program and still better at tracking the entire flight, but Newsky is free, much more flexible regarding selection of flights, lets all users compete for the same passenger/cargo job, and probably has the best landings rating system I have ever seen in any addon.

Absolutely.  I don't think they've figured out making customers happy is a pathway to more success.  They have a decent product for sure and I hope they open up to giving users more control where it matters to them.

I wish we could exclude certain airports from the schedule. There have been times I’ve refreshed it 100 times because I kept getting airports that I just don’t want to fly to. I try to fly only to places with scenery that I own or has a decent freeware available to download.

Change Airlines, and you will get all different airports, like in real life.

Thanks for the heads up Peter I will check it out.  Your opinion as to how it's flight evaluation compares to APL's?  I was a big fan of FSCaptain in FSX/P3D but alas it hasn't made to MSFS.

I just looked at Newsky, personally I was not impressed with it. No where near the activity and variety that I get with A Pilots Life..
