As for the sky, I've never felt terribly strong about it one way or the other. The mod looks nice, though. I'm not picking a fight at all. If you, or anyone else, doesn't like my opinion, don't respond to it. It is as simple as that really. You could say that it's people picking fights with me, all because they don't like my opinion. They don't have to respond. Nobody forces them to.

I guess it's possible they did it in a non-official capacity just for kicks, but probably more likely they at least wanted to see if it's something viable. I still think we're unlikely to see any serious changes in 2020, but who knows?

I actually think your opinion about a few people over-defending MSFS is spot-on, so that wasn't really the issue. Well-elucidated criticisms about it are great and necessary!
September 27, 20232 yr They just announced in the live stream that this is not an an issue in MSFS2024 with their reworked atmosphere engine They will be adjusting the colours in 2020 based on this. Edited September 27, 20232 yr by Tuskin38

September 27, 20232 yr I'm also proven wrong, and couldn't be happier about it! Good job Asobo team. 👏 Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

The fix based on Biology's findings, is indeed coming to 2020 in SU14. 2024 circumvents all of this by using a completely different atmospheric engine. Seb - 'yeah so our art team is looking into this and hopefully we will find a solution' And thats it gentlemen. Typical Asobo response as also seen in the past. Pretty sure nothing will come off of it. This might get included in MSFS 2024 though. Aged like fine milk LOL. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

But we plan to change the parameters of the MSFS 2020 atmospheric engine, so that this gets significantly improved in MSFS 2020. We can't really integrate a complete revamp of the atmospheric engine (in MSFS 2020), but we will do our best to adjust the settings so that it looks better in MSFS 2020 already, almost like a step in the right direction. a preview of what is going to be there later. Jörg: "for what its worth, we all really liked it, we all read the thread, and thought, hmmmmh, cool!" ==================================== Hooray, the nay sayers were proven wrong. we will soon see a quick official interim fix of the current atmospheric scattering scheme in MSFS 2020, and a much better, more complete overhaul in MSFS 2024. praise to user Biology who caused this avalanche, without whom this would not have made it into MSFS 2020 so quickly if at all, and praise to Asobo for a much better overall implementation in MSFS 2024!
