This is interesting. It will be separate from the standard A320, because changing it would break too many things like landing challenges. Obviously, the biggest beneficiaries are the Xbox crowd, who don't have a decent A320 at al.

I do wish it was the A321neo, since there are more of these in the US than the A320neos.

Aamir on the Fenix discord had some interesting thoughts on this. He mentioned that the price point this airplane will be at -- assuming it's paid, which I think is logical -- is going to be tough to compete against. Sure, people like us on the forum, and folks that care about real route accuracy and a level of detail will buy the Fenix. However, a whole lot of people will buy a A320neo for $20 that is on the level of the A310.

I think Inibuilds will do a good job with this one.

Sort of.

It depends on what they do for the missing things in the FBW. The FBW is missing missed approach and Final_APP Rnav, etc.

Also, the cockpit is incorrect on the FBW.

They mentioned it's a "ground up rebuild" so I think it will be better than the FBW, and on-par with the A310. I will likely switch from the FBW to this.

Personally i don't need another A320, but it's good that Xbox will be covered by this development. I'll stick with Fenix for the likes of the A319-A321 and engine upgrades for the A320.

I also don’t need yet another Airbus. Especially from a dev who can’t seem to properly optimize their products for the sim (A310 tanks performance, same with their sceneries).

Now it makes sense.

I do, but not another A320. In the meantime, there's almost nothing on the widebody front: just an A330-900 that few airlines use, and a hacked up A333.

Personally once this comes out you know people will use this more than the FBW. I will be for sure.

If it's like their A310, maybe.

I wish more airlines had the Neo in the US.

That said, if this is half the price of the Fenix, with A310 level of quality, I'd have likely bought it instead of the Fenix.

This is great news. I really like the FBW A320, it is one of the best freeware planes of all time and in some parts superior to the Fenix. But there are still quite a few shortcomings (not a criticism of their work, of course!) that I expect will be addressed in a completely new built by Ini. And maybe they‘ll even add an A321 much like the A300 after the already released A310.

I just don't get why we need so many airbus A320s.  Maybe an A330 or 350?  Or even a A220?

There’s an A330 in the MSFS2024 trailer

But we have no idea if it’s flyable, it could be a static model or AI.

Considering the BelugaXL is based off the A330, I would be surprised if it wasn’t

I remember, back in FS9 days, we all were saying "why no good A320 at all? Why only 737s"?😂

Now we have an abundance of buses, all meeting the basics of an Airbus (namely, their particular stick and throttle handling), and almost no Boeings (just 748, 788, 78X and all 737 NG).

There's already an AI A330 in MSFS 2020! Ugly as hell, but there is a default one.

The neo is going to be free.

The one in the 2024 trailer isn’t that.
