Hi Neighbor, 

No need to buy tickets any more w/ a recent update of APL:  just go to the Tools menu where you can fly anywhere anytime in any plane with no need do the silly buy ticket ritual.

Finally no performance degradation after a 2 hour flight! Update was a huge pain in the @ss with all the files being corrupted but after reading the tip here on avsim to delete them from the folder and start over it went well without any further issues.

I know I found out after the fact too.  Now, if they Dev would kindly get rid of the Pause penalty.  This affects 50% of all flights such that I end up re-flying them.  I've tried hard to get the Dev to budge on this but so far deaf ears mostly.

Thanks Jacek maybe it will help.  I got him to agree to do a user poll on this feature, to perhaps put a checkbox in the Settings page to disable this if desired.  Their argument (the "their" is the shills on Discord who typically dis any suggestions as unnecessary) basically is that the pause penalty is there to simulate real world piloting--except for the periods where a pilot is hyper-focused like TO/Climb/Approach the pause penalty isn't applied so that argument goes out the window.  For me it comes when I'm into a 3h flight, at Cruise or Transition, and the wife says, "Hey Noel do you want to go for a walk (or make dinner, or fix this or that, etc)  now I have to suck up the 2 point penalty.  I mainly use APL for the scoring piece which is why this matters a lot to me.  I rarely can sit to fly for the whole flight as I'm too busy with other things especially on longer flights.

I find that taking a short flight ( 150 miles or less) in  something like the PMDG 737, requires a great deal of concentration and doing everything in the correct order. Being able to pause the sim, would make this really simple. I think that is the  reason they don't' allow pauses, makes it much more realistic and a challenge..

Except Bob, you CAN pause during TO/Climb/Initial Approach.  Short flights I never need to use the Pause button, but on 2-5h flights, absolutely.  YOU can choose to never use the Pause button that's all well and good but at least half the time I do need to stop the flight to deal with life outside of MSFS.  Just provide the option is all I am asking you can chose to not disable the Pause penalty if you need that.

For no XP or cash? What would be the point of APL then? or am I missing something? 🤨

No issues on 1st flight today either. Zurich to Dublin.

I'm still getting random 2/3 second freezes however that were happening long before the update. I think it's FSLTL.

Just flew out of Inibuilds EGLL on route to OMDB with the 787 with fstl and its definitely a better experience no stutters as there was previously very smooth great work.
