October 3, 20232 yr I'm with Howard on this one. I really don't like touchscreens anymore than I like using the mouse. Looks like it's about 1000 USD and you use it with spad.next to program it. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I went the VR route but love the look of that hardware! is it 1:1 or a tad smaller than the real one ? Hiya, glad you liked the video. I hope you didn't make too much of a mess with your droolling! Sure, it is smaller than 1:1 it's 41cm wide and about 44cm long and 3.5 cms deep. TBH it's probably far more accessible for the average simmer because of it's more practical size. That was my original concern, but no, it's been an absolute breeze to get it configured. All that's needed is the Complete Edition of SPAD neXt, along with the installation of the relevent snippet (proflie) which are all accessible within SPAD. October 3, 20232 yr Very nice nothing is better than hands on. Nothing feels better then the touch and feel of the overhead switches and buttons. October 3, 20232 yr Yes, I like switches also on my MCP combo and I have a real working landing gear lever etc. I also like real switches a lot, but also like to fly Airbus and that is totally different kind of overhead panel. So with touchscreen it is easy to switch but... I must also admit that I am also extremely jalouse at Rockliffe, looks like a great overhead!
October 3, 20232 yr Author Just to add to this thread guys, I have just completed a short test flight and I can confirm that everything works fine with SPADneXt and the relevent profile. Nothing else to install. It's very cool! I will be producing a short installation/review of the panel very soon, so watch this space Edited October 3, 20232 yr by Rockliffe HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
October 3, 20232 yr That looks really awesome! Touch screens etc are no match for the tactile feel of real buttons and switches. October 3, 20232 yr I'm off topic, but the new Oculus / Meta headset (they start shipping right about now) with it's color pass through lenses may allow seeing real physical controllers to make them easy to use. Perhaps even to use a Streamdeck with headset on. I would guess there would be a pass through on/off switch that could be mapped. They have the very best lenses, not the best screen (not OLED), but I don't know how it will perform fps wise compared to say the Reverb G2. And half the price of a Beyond or Varjo Aero. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
