I would love to see the rain forests properly done along with Rio, Sao Paulo and Brasillia really needs some love too. There are a number of really nice freeware and payware airports for this beautiful country. October 21, 20232 yr I hope this "Marketplace Exclusive" isn't the new sales pitch with Paulo Ricardo...they'll surely lose me as a customer over time. October 23, 20232 yr Author Yes CongoNhas. Although I appreciate Zoffy and his work and have used his version, it's not even comparable. The amount of attention and detail that Paulo Ricardo put into this is astaounding especially all the perimiter work let alone the airport itself. I'll post some screen shots later.
October 24, 20232 yr Wow, I must be late to the party. I don't know this developer, but after seeing some information about this release, I am gobsmacked at the quality! This looks like a masterpiece. I hope this will be available soon on Sim Market(?) October 24, 20232 yr You can be sure that Paulo's scenarios are surpassed with each release. SBSP is faithful in every way, a master's work. Also note Zoffy, another exceptional scenarist.
October 24, 20232 yr I won't buy it on the marketplace, but anywhere else. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
October 24, 20232 yr Author Years ago now I bought a SBRJ from a independent developer named Paulo Ricardo and at first I was like.. screen shots look pretty nice why is it so cheap? But it turns out it was just bargain for an amazing scenery. In my book Pyreegue and Paulo Ricardo are on the same level with Fly Tampa below them. You can get lost in a Paulo Ricardo scenery, you could zoom around for hours looking at stuff that most developers wouldn't even consider modeling. Yet some how the scenery manages to perform very well, for the level of detail. I highly recommend you get his SBRJ and fly from here to SBRJ using the RNAV02R-W approach, it looks so good. The 17 end is really impressive, gives you a feeling that this is a special airport. Hopefully, these two airports don't go the way of countless other inner city airports. Very cool looks just like a youtube video I saw. The feeling of depth when the wing tip is dangling 50 feet over the ground below is cool. The amount and quality of the custom objects is really incredible to me. This is what I wish developers would spend more time on. The view from the cockpit is great, the amount of detail is awesome. Dunkin Donuts and Hudson stores are great but when your in the cockpit and everything below window level is very undetailed like an afterthought, I don't like it. Dominic Design, BMW/AMSIM and iniBuilds are notorious for lackluster effort below the terminal windows. This is what separates Pyreegue and top tier developers apart from mid tier developers in my mind. But fear not because he is the master of interiors as well. I wish there were at least a few people, but it doesn't really detract. He had people in the SBRJ scenery but maybe decided it was a FPS hit liability so he did not include them here? More custom objects, highly detailed. Note all the different airplane models. A mid tier developer would have just used Asobo objects, CJ4, Longitude, King Air. My system only has a 2070 Super so I can't dial everything up. Ground textures are sharper with higher settings. Still, every ramp looks exactly like the most recent satellite photo. And note that Paulo Ricardo doesn't close any of the hangars, he fully models the interior of the all hangars as well. Well not all of them, the premier hangar is closed but 97% of the hangars are wide open. He does not use any stock assets that I can see. Taxiway signs are all custom. Again all the hangars are opened and the airplanes are positioned realistically. PR also spends a lot of time on the approaches and surroundings. His SBRJ basically modeled all of downtown Rio and Botafogo, Ipanema, Copacabana, a bunch of stadiums, bridges, aerial tramways on sugar loaf mountain. too much to even list. This is the same, although Sao Paulo is not quite as cool visually as Rio he did model a lot of the city. You get so much for your money. The night lighting is great, especially the taxiway signs. I don't think Paulo Ricardo will ever bring his talents to airports outside of Brazil, but that's okay. I like to fly in places that aren't the United States, isn't that kind of the point of flight sim? I'm hoping for Guarulhos next. But there are a great number of large airports in Brazil so whatever it is I'm sure I'll get it.
