November 26, 20232 yr I own the France VFR version too, and I am not very much excited about this version. The BMW version is just on sale. Do you own version 2.0 of BMW or the older one? November 26, 20232 yr it never baffles me how these chumps dont dicuss with each other whos making what instead of flighting over the same old crumbs in the marketplace store. surely its not hard to email each other or do a teams call. just baffling and been going on for decades. No, I'd much rather see competition and multiple options. It's not a "win" for me to have a market where a spotty dev is permitted to "stake his claim" by rushing out a half-baked scenery add-on and then everyone else stays away from doing that airport better because there's already a (poor) commercial offering out there. November 27, 20232 yr To me RDPresets is on the high end of LOW tier developers and it shows in these screen shots. For the RD version the texturing looks very stock and has that too clean Asobo handcrafted look, the models are simple and incorrect they have done no Sixt ads on the gates, the coloring is strange, the ramp lights don't look correct, the terminal to gate connectors are incorrect. BMW have done a really good job with realism on this one. I personally think LFML is BMWs best scenery to date and BMW are starting to get the picture that if they want to be top tier they have to step up their game since their initial offerings. That said I have FranceVFR and don't feel any need to change. All of them fall short in some way but to me the BMW one is the most modern, most current and highest quality of the 3. To me RDpresets looks really bland and incorrect in a lot of spots. Just a lot of lack of attention to detail. I'm going to keep FranceVFR, because it has a few little local touches I like. France VFR did not do the Radar on the hill nor did they do that building in the picture below it.

The dev/modelers have already objects for Marseille and not for CDG? The complexity? The location? One studio has claimed to work on it, is late/long road (and we're not aware)? November 27, 20232 yr I kept the BMW version. It looks more solid. For further comparison, I will add that now you can buy an RD for 17.99 euros and a BMW for 13.6 euros.
November 27, 20232 yr BMW looks much better all over the place. Now it they got the parkings, taxiways, AI etc. correct, I don‘t know. That‘s usually their achilles heel. That said I don‘t fancy RD Presets much. Their LIRN was alright, but the rest was not good from what I‘ve heard. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
