Congratz on the MSFS forums for reaching 500K posts!

Wow, what a milestone reached. I didn't even notice the MSFS forums here at Avsim has surpassed 500K posts:

It must have happened in the last month or two months, where 500K posts was reached?  I think MSFS is quickly setting new records at Avsim.  If the admins keep MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 in the same forum when MSFS 2024 is released, there will be a chance for the MSFS forum to reach 1 million posts at Avsim (something that no other forum has reached, not even FSX).  Cheers to the most popular and most advanced civilian flight simulator out there.

It was only 400,000 until someone started that XP 12 vs MSFS thread.🙃

If you are referring to this thread, there was about 377K posts back in June of 2022:

But anyways, it's great to see how MSFS is developing. And I hope MSFS 2024 will even accelerate the progress of flight simulation.

Guilty as charged! Except my original post back then was more about how big the MSFS community is, rather than putting any other sims down.

I’ll go one further this time around and say how engaged the MSFS community seems to be compared to ones that have come before.

if you look at the number of pages in each of the different sim forums, this forum has relatively few pages in total, which could be an indicator of how popular (and active) each individual topic is.

Nothing against any of the other sims! I was very happy with XP11 before MSFS came along, but this sim really seems to have captured peoples’ imaginations!

They may not like the sand we play in, but they sure like playing in our sandbox

And you, @abrams_tank, have certainly been among the most prominent, knowledgeable, and helpful members of the MSFS forum. @lwt1971 and @Krakin have also helped me tremendously to understand and enjoy MSFS. When any of you three post something, I know it's going to be good.

Yeah and what a journey it has been. And surprisingly, I find the MSFS section to the be the most down-to-earth and level headed section of of Avsim - Thanks to everyone.

[MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

@abrams_tank

When someone gives you a compliment, one should react by returning one, like: "you are always so objective!".

😁😂🤣

Yup, the MSFS forum at Avsim is definitely the most down-to-earth forum here at Avsim. I hope it continues that way too 👍.

Yea it's called a mature evolution of flight simming, where all things new are welcome or atleast considered!

Funny how the existence of this thread got some people offended. Anyway, it'll cross the 1 million mark when we start to get more info about 2024 lol.

Yup, if the admins keep MSFS 2020 and 2024 in the sams forum, I think it will surpass 1 million posts eventually.
