That's something they're also working on.

But so many times this was a disapointment regarding this, expectations are low... Hate to be proven right, all messed up again and trailer showing watermasks not existing in the product. How embarassing, seriously, update after update they somehow give the impression to not test their own product prior release... The Q&A tonight will be telling, hopefully they own up (again) to another mess they've created. January 31, 20242 yr Well, at least they did not only miss the watermasks in the Caribbean but consequently eliminated them worldwide. Good job. Seriously... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

How can we make sure that this question will be asked in the first place anyway? We cant. So also for this Q&A, my hopes are rather limited... Only if you're watching the twitch live you can ask questions in the chat, I fully expect they'll be inundated with this though so they can't really ignore it. January 31, 20242 yr They have a good reputation for doing this kind of thing. Other things that have gone the way of the dodo - snow, lightning (from the worldmap too), accurate icing, logbook entries, rainbows, autogen (sometimes), photogrammetry, trees/grass moving in the wind, taxiway signs >5m away, accurate simulation, DX12 ever being 'finished' And the update is 11GB for these small islands? If watermarks are included you could be looking at a 50GB'er? Capt Cynical sounding off !

They certainly need to get their ar5e in gear though. There competence levels are beginning to look like a joke. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. And what is so hard about creating water masking? Could not a third-party dev create them?

I remember having made this in a scenery of mine in P3D, seamlessly joining mask and terrain and adding waves was no trivial matter. Lots of expletives in the process 😁. I don’t think it is a question of competence. This project is driven by a « lookee here, shiny stuff ! » marketing strategy to keep the interest up all the time within a tight schedule. Don’t make me wrong they bring value but quality control is not the priority which is to get the shiny bits out no matter what. I even suspect that there are financial penalties/rewards attached to the schedule and I am not even sure that there is a QC . It is frustrating for the perfectionist old guard but then again it gives us fodder to grumble, and don’t we love that 😂 ?
