February 9, 20242 yr That didn't change anything, but whatever this is it's substantial. You can certainly fly but significant loss of fluid animation at least while on the ground. I'm convinced it's server side as nothing has changed here now beyond the new GPU driver which that did not impact this, nor did WU15 uninstall. February 9, 20242 yr Glad I'm not the only one... I thought it was exclusive to me and timing corresponded with SU15 but to Noel's point I think I also had a significant Windows10 update as well. My drivers haven't changed, add-ons haven't changed, don't use cache, settings haven't changed although I did verify nothing changed without me realizing in the background. So I had a Windows 10 update and an SU15 update and ever since almost every flight is a stutter fest. 12900/4090 running 200/100 LOD so not even tweaking. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

February 9, 20242 yr Did an Nvidia driver update correspond roughly with this update? There is a hotfix out now, just released, to fix stuttering. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5519/~/geforce-hotfix-driver-version-551.46 Edited February 9, 20242 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Also, had removed the most recent Win 10 update which was a waste of effort because I had typical stutter free flight the day after it was installed. Again, looking like a server side issue. February 9, 20242 yr There could be a broader issue, but I decided to test things on my system. I just flew at iniBuilds' KJFK with the Kodiak (which I find tends to be fairly taxing because of the glass screens), with 200/200 LOD settings at 4K mostly Ultra settings. I had previously uninstalled the WU15 package when I first saw this suggestion (and after having felt like SU14 added many stutters, but hadn't thought it might be WU15). My experience with no AI traffic was much smoother than I had been having recently. Not a single stutter while flying in low circles around the airport. Then I added PSXT with full traffic coverage in a 20nm area and my frames obviously dipped significantly, but the experience was still smooth and no stutters. I exited the simulator and then restarted it. I then re-installed WU15 (7.5 GB download), exited the sim and restarted it again. I then repeated the test above. I have a fairly beefy PC system, and I would say that there is a difference and while it's not subtle, I'm not sure that I want to delete the WU15 again only to try it again sometime later. Yes, with WU15 installed, the sim feels less smooth, but I can live with the stutters as it's generally smooth unless I get close to the ground. I am going to leave it installed and hope that the next System Update, with the promised memory management improvements, solves the remaining stutters.

February 9, 20242 yr Major problem now and I've exhausted troubleshooting including DX11 which was even worse. I hardly ever see stutters for a long time now until this I mean literally a couple per 2h flight. Don't see much discussion anywhere else so hard to say what's up. This is one of those issues that is completely independent of CPU/GPU/VRAM load. It just stuttered 20x during pushback a minute ago w/ ample headroom. It does get better up in the air but I had whatever it is goes away soon. Perhaps they've put a weenie in the warp drive so as to make SU16's "performance enhancing" impact maximally impressive 😉 Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. February 10, 20242 yr I haven’t experienced many stutters post SU14, flying around SoCal in the analog King Air. Perhaps the issue will be mitigated somewhat in SU15 with improved memory management. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
