MSFS Auto FPS App

Featured Replies

Hi! Been using this tool for a few days and overall very happy with it! However it seems like I am getting very blurry ground textures after departure. Anyone else with this problem? As soon as I close Autofps the clarity comes back.spacer.pngspacer.png

It's probably because your default TLOD is higher than the TLODs you have set in AutoFPS. You have plenty of FPS headroom to increase your TLODs in AutoFPS so I suggest you try something like TLOD Min 100, TLOD Max 400 and check TLOD Min + while you are at it.

Thank you for the quick reply. I tried it with your suggested settings, and unfortunately the same blurry textures are seen even though 400TLOD is achieved without any issues during my climb. Pressing the "reset" button makes the textures reload, but only for a short time. It's not until I actually close the program that things start to look better.

Well that's a first. I don't know why it would be doing that unless your TLOD without AutoFPS is significantly higher than 400. What is your default TLOD BTW?

My default TLOD is set to 200, used to be 150 but had the same issue then aswell.

Just landed in Salzburg. Ground textures seemed normal during cruise, but on approach they were blurry again. Pressing the reset button fixed it temporarily, but as soon as I flew a bit further away it was blurry again. Did another reset on final and everything loaded in nicely, but got an error that my bandwidth is too low for PG (I have 650Mbit/s download). Went around with the drone camera after landing to see the PG but it looked just like the picture above, and not updating even after looking several minutes at the same spot. Once again tried resetting, and almost straight away it looked good. After closing the app everything around me loaded in after a few seconds.

I am sure this problem is something on my side, and I am not expecting full support from you. Just hope it's something easily fixed, since I really like the idea of your program (that otherwise works fantastically!)🙂

From your screenshot, that’s what it looks like. Even with a TLOD of below 100, I don’t think it would look that bad.

I agree with Capt Piett.

To me in looks like your IN connection is too slow.

I just lamde at Innsbruck and at 4000 ft above the ground and lower the ground textures were razorsharp ( Latest Bing HD ).

Hopefullly you can find thr cause.

Are you using a VPN connection?

I do...and sometimes saw this too. I disconnectedy Vpn and all fine again.

I assumed....VPN got performance issues ...

Lately the issues did not occur again.

Nothing has changed with autostart options for many versions now. Try rerunning the installer.

I *might* have fixed it (just don't want to celebrate to early...) by deleting my DNS cache files. Flying over Stockholm again in a similar scenario like the photo above and it looks much better. That would then indicate it's my internet afterall and not Autofps. Haven't used my router for 3 months and paused the subscription, perhaps something was "wrong" there....

Hello

Since the last update, AutoFPS no longer launches. Windows doesn't want to launch it. it activates then closes it. I reinstalled everything but nothing works. Like this a program automatically closes the application

Sorry for my English

Thank you for your help

It could be a corrupt configuration file. Try running the installer and click the remove button, close it then rerun the installer and install as normal.

Hi @Reset XPDR, are there any plans to make AutoFPS for MSFS 2024?

Regards, Bartek Staniszewski

I'm really not trusting the in game one, can't tell if it's actually working or not so to have the backup of AutoFPS would be nice if not too much trouble.
