MK Studios releases KLGA - La Guardia Airport

Featured Replies

This is my first MK Studios product and my first impression is very good.  Although I only got to take a look at it for a few minutes, it seems very well done with excellent detail and texturing.  As already mentioned, there is good PSXT data and the immersion of real word sequencing on crosswind runways really adds to the experience.  The performance seems very good especially for a dense area.  The only thing I noticed thus far was a few taxi signs misplaced on the taxiways, but this could be a conflict with my Real Taxiways USA product (which also is a great product but sometimes requires deactivation of a specific airport for add on products).  I will check this and report back.

Looks like MK did a great job! I'll go buy this and fly to New York in the evening.

very nice product, however looks like some pretty big bumps when using last exit on runway 4 ?

No adverse issues with the taxi signs after excluding KLGA from Real Taxiways USA.  This scenery looks really nice and is a definite upgrade from prior offerings.

In terms of attention to the details, this one is perhaps the best MKS product so far.

Oh no, please no bumps!

These terra forming bumps are becoming a real nightmare for me. I have them all over inibuilds LAX and JFK.

I'm not sure, but I guess, the problem is I don't use photo grammetry.

cheers,

It frustrates me as a Chicagoan that NYC was able to pretty much rebuild LGA in about 6 years where Chicago can't get anything off the ground with the Terminal 2 rebuild at ORD.

Maybe they can optimise this airport with a next update, i assume some LOD settings maybe are not correct, hopefully they find a way because the Airport itself is a fine artwork !

cheers 😉

I grew up in Northeast NJ, and moved to Chicagoland in the early 90’s. LGA was a complete dump back in the day, and when I flew into LGA last summer, I couldn’t believe how much it changed. It’s like a completely different airport.

Thought I'd give you my opinion.  It's a beautiful airport, but performance for me is terrible.  I need AutoFPS to get in the high 20's on landing with the Fenix, and forget injected or static aircraft.  By comparison, Ini's redone KLAX and KJFK both are in mid to high 30's for me with landing and in the low 30's with injected/static aircraft.  Only DD's KEWR is as bad or worse performance-wise for me.

I'll have to revert back to the freeware KLGA for now until a (hopeful) optimization comes.
