Honestly - when charging 30 Bucks for a software that only works when admin rights are granted - I am freaking allowed to warn everyone about it - thats a kids mistake and nothing that should happen in professional software development, end of discussion. As sooner this problem is fixed the sooner the moaning will stop. 

And, just for the record, the workaround for "not connecting to sim" is "uninstall" and "reinstall with admin privileges". 

Sure, but in fairness, there are a number of apps that need to be run as admin, FSHud is one that also needs to be run as admin.

Yeah, ATC is getting a lot of attention lately...! And also let's not forget MSFS2024 is coming up too: you never know what ATC surprises it will have up its sleeves. I would have bought BATC regardless anyway but I can't so well... maybe it's for the better. We'll see. Looking forward to the first bug rep... I mean reviews. 😎

Sure, I have learnt the hard way over the years, best to sit back and let the dust settle before parting with hard earned cash for a new release.

Quick hop to Belfast for me and I had the connection issue so ran as admin, no issues after that. I couldn’t work out how to change my call sign but apart from that I’m very impressed. Some of the phraseology is a little weird - ‘maintain runway centreline’ in the clearance but was changed to ‘maintain runway heading’ in the takeoff clearance. I didn’t really get any vectors at the end but rather cleared to the LOC via the transition that basically left me to fly the whole DME arc, not something I’d expect to do but it did work out.  
 

The voices and functionality of it are really good though. Too soon to say, but this definitely is game changer territory.

This referred to a question of whether BeyondATC controls or talks to Ai aircraft. It currently does neither. The developers plan to add this in a later update.

Sure, my question marks were related to the release of the program wihtout this function rather than not understanding the statement  I do find it rather odd, and don't quite understand it to be honest. To me, early access is effectively a BETA release, it has to be, surely, as it's an incomplete product that does not function correctly, so I find it difficult to accept that I have to pay for that 'privilege.'

Only tried voice recognition so far, no real flight yet, but it sure understands me a lot better than SI! That's probably because the program is looking for keywords only ("clearance"), while SI tries to interpret the whole phrase and will make very absurd things out of it at times.

BATC uses the call sign you set in SimBrief.

Yes, even towards the end of the beta (well, the EA still is the beta of course) there were discussions about the phraseology... I guess it will never be 100% realistic. It's all about compromises. Some choices are a bit odd though like the take off clearance always being 'line up and take off' in one go. (FSHud still has quite a few things going for it! 😉 )

I don't understand what you're saying. You think you shouldn't have to pay for early access products?

It actually is. They simply released the latest beta as EA. It's a paid beta. But well, most EA's are! I don't really see what's different between a beta and an EA. Other than that everyone can now beta test.

No no, it's not you. It's present times. It is what it is these days.

I was just suprised at you even mentioning this, because early access has always been like that.

boo .... lets support developers trying to improve our hobby.

No problem paying for this. The dev was very clear about the functionality. He had a somehow stellar marketing campaign running and all this stuff, but after the discord-survey it was pretty clear what you will get for your money. The "installation as admin" is a clear problem though.

So at the end - he did a lot of work in advance and now he has to make some money - no problem with that. Nobody of us is working for nothing.
