July 27, 2025Jul 27 And so - what if you have properly copied the Duke file from your MSFS2020 Community Folder into your MSFS2024 Community Folder but when you go to choose the Duke to fly in MSFS2024, it isn't on the aircraft list. Well - it may be that the file has copied OK but - for reasons only known by the sim - it hasn't been 'Enabled'. So if this is what you get, then there are just a few more steps - all done in MSFS2024 itself. 1. First, you go into 'Marketplace' from your opening screen: 2. Then, when that opens, choose 'My Library' at the top left hand of the screen: 3. This will list all of the aircraft and scenery that you have purchased and are either ready to stream or those that you have in your various folders but aren't activated yet. To find the items in your MSFS2024 Community Folder, you can tick a filter, named 'Community': 4. Scroll down the resulting list of addons in your 2024 Community Folder until you find the Black Square Duke - is it greyed out like my Hawker Nimrod is below and, instead of 'Installed' next to it, it says 'Disabled'? : 5. If it is, just click on that item, and you should see a pop up below the list that includes the option to 'Enable' : 6. Click on 'Enable' and it should load it up, change the status to 'Installed' and then, if you go back to your Aircraft opening list, it should now be there 🙂 Hope this helps Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset
July 29, 2025Jul 29 This is 20% off in Just Flight's summer sale. Worth buying for someone who only flies in 2024? Looking at the piston version. It looks like there's a way to install (I do not have and do not want 2020 on my PC). This may be one of the first times it has been on sale so not sure if I should get it. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

It's only a little extra for the Turbine/Piston package which is 40% off. I would go for that all day long! 2024 update should be coming shortly as well. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

July 30, 2025Jul 30 I would highly recommend the black square dukes even in 2024.. there is a semi annoying known bug with 2024 which relates to dynamic registration. Custom entries are not working (like what Black Square designed) if you start from cold and dark. You'll get a weird flashing black or white on the sides and tail. I think the hand painted tail numbered repaints work okay though (just remember to backspace out the ATC callsign in the aircraft selection window before a flight). Here's the install procedure I found if you dont have 2020 anymore https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/found-a-way-to-install-just-flight-planes-into-2024/693819 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
