Where are the MSFS 2024 previews?

Featured Replies

We're about to enter June and it's dead quiet from Microsobo. Did I miss the memo? Yes, I'm not around a lot so I may have missed the memo, but where are all the feature and image/video previews? Why are they keeping cards so close to their chest? It's not like X-Plane or P3D stands any chance.

This, the X-Box Games Showcase

And I imagine we'll get even more info at FSExpo 2024, which goes from the 21st to the 23rd

Will be getting a deep dive @Xbox Games Showcase on 9th June.

A deep dive and not just a trailer? Are you sure about that?

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

I'm assuming the deep dives, detailed interviews, and perhaps even live demos will come during FSExpo. But the June 9th XBox showcase event will hopefully at least reveal a new trailer showcasing the various aspects of the sim in some fashion (and not just missions 😅).

They pushed back the next dev Q&A to June 5th, but have a feeling they still won't reveal anything about MSFS 2024 then.

I just wanna see an in-depth video of the Pebbles, 25 minutes should be enough, the rest can wait!

I would like to see more realistic rivers in MSFS 2024. They look a bit "polygonal" to me, and do not blend into the surrounding photoscenery as nicely as they did in P3D. I have no idea why they are rendered like that, and I would have expected better from a next generation flight simulator. Some lakes and coastlines also have this "polygonal" look to them, and that really should not be the case.

pretty sure it's because they based off vector data.

Yes, and that is the problem that I have with them. It reminds me way too much of generic low resolution vector data for rivers/roads etc. that can be seen in default P3D (or the ORBx FTX packages).
