I know you’re very knowledgeable about scenery so I was wondering what tools and skills would be required for end users like ourselves to add the extra runway, taxi paths and signage to an existing product. Any changes would be purely personal and not for distribution unless permission was granted which might be possible given they’ve withdrawn from the P3D market. Is it something worth checking out for those of us willing to stay with v5? Even something as simple as a runway change of designation and taxi signs couldn’t be that difficult could it? It's not possible, cause good sceneries have a fotolayer on top and I don't know of an editor to cut out a new runway or paint it on it. It's certainly nothing that can be done with airport design editor. Also MCX does not allow editing these. Probably one would need to create a new fotolayer scenery for this. I'm not keen on that. The fotolayers can sometimes be looked at with MCX, but that's all you can do with it. I guessed ADE wouldn’t be able to do much but if other software could maybe someone could have taken up the challenge. Let’s hope Dublin isn’t due a runway change for a long while. Thanks Well the alternative would be to disable the photo layer as @blaunarwal mentioned, and then modify the AFCAD .bgl file to add the 2nd runway using ADE. Of course the aesthetics of the scenery will not look as good but you would have an operational 28R runway. July 8, 20241 yr Moderator Last year I watched a series of YT videos over 12 episodes on how the author created his own version of a default airport. It includes him using a high quality image from Google Earth Pro as the base. 11m 40s on episode 1. Here's a similar image of Dublin dated 22 March 2024. You can see the 10L/28R runway appears unfinished but might this be enough for someone with the requisite skills to use replacing the original? Sorry if this appears simplistic but I just wanted to advance my knowledge on how this scenery is created. Ray (Cheshire, England).
