New version 2.2 of LSFG

New version out for LSFG (2.10.2). Can confirm that all artifacts at night are now gone using this new version. Don't need to use v 1.1 anymore of FG.

I am getting awful artifacts at night.  Triple lights, oscillating wavy shapes from external lights.  I use TrackIR so that may possibly make it worse.

Running Lossles Scaling 2.10.2 and LSFG on 2.2.1

I have tried various options, TAA, DLSS-DLAA/Ultra Quality.  Vsync on/off. External frame rate limiter on off.  Performance mode on LS.

2x and 3x Mode.  If I switch LSFG to 1.1 visually it improves but I loose at least 1/3 of my performance on my 3080ti

Yes the issue still persist in evening flights.

The artifacts are greatly reduced when using 1.1.  I realised the loss in performance is simply down to 1.1 runs at 2x FG and I had 3x FG set when selecting the 2.10.2 option

After lots of test, LSFG has made some great flights for me. But not always. There are times I turn it off (by pushing a button on my Stream Deck), and turning on native FG.

Therefore I still think a 4000 series RTX is the only gpu worth buying if you need a new gpu right now.

The couple dozen YT videos on the 5090 are not important. It's the insanely priced top notch card. One beta tester there said it costs $5000, LOL.

ehh, 1.1 is way worse for me. I think I've settled on Native refresh rate (165Hz), DX11, 30FPS locked with Front Edge Sync enabled in RTSS, LSFG at 3x using 2.2.1...Is it absolute perfection? No, but it's pretty close. Minor artifacting, GPU usage is around 45-50% and internal resolution scalar is at 150%, HDR enabled, G-Sync compatible monitor, ReShade enabled too. Honestly, can't really complain.

You’re not using FG? Also, don’t you get screen tearing? Supposedly gsync doesn’t work with LS, at least not for me.

So 1.1 worse also for me

I do think the Lossless has potential but needs more updates.

I've tried a bunch of different combos, but I like this one the best. The second best was DX12, FG enabled, 60 FPS locked in RTSS, LSFG at 2x. I like the DX11 version a bit better because I have more headroom with VRAM, which allows me to crank up the resolution. Limiting everything to 30FPS also helps reduce the overhead on GPU usage.

No, I don't have any screen tearing, and I've done some pretty strenuous testing. Very occasionally, I'd have screen tearing, but it's gone now (for good, apparently). However, I have noticed that it helps to let everything stabilize before turning on LSFG. Basically I'll wait until I'm ready to start getting the cockpit ready for flight before starting LSFG. This has reduced any issues (stuttering, jitters, artifacting, screen tearing). If I need to ALT+TAB out of the screen to do anything or time accelerate, I've found it's best to "Unscale" MSFS to prevent any confusion in LSFG. SO, to boil it all down, I've just got LSFG running when I'm actively using it. For everything else, there's Mastercard...lol sorry. For everything else, I'll just leave it locked at 30FPS if I'm too lazy to unlock it in RTSS.

I've also tried creating a custom resolution at 120Hz as well as 80Hz, but it appears to be moot. I also noticed much more input lag with a lower refresh rate, regardless of the RTSS limit. So native appears to work best. As far as just using native FG; native FG has been a game changer, but this takes it to a new level. If the dev can work out the artifacting, it'll be even better. The biggest issue I had with native FG was the lack of consistency. Thanks to AutoFPS, I can maintain at least 30FPS in every situation, save for a few (KJFK, PG on, 50% AIG traffic). Because of that, it's pretty much guaranteed 90FPS with consistent frametimes in every situation. Can't complain.

Works perfectly with gsync for me. Is your monitor full(hardware) gsync or a compatible?

EGLC London City, follow the Thames 270 degs to Heathrow and land. Fly 200 to 400 feet ASL. Orbx EGLC and London City Pack installed.

4070 ==> with refresh rate on monitor set to 60 Hz <==

DX12

DLSS Balanced, Render High End Native 4000 FG on, LSFG off

fps 80-100 only gentle stutters in 7 or 8 places, not a problem.

----------

DX 12

Same DLSS Balanced, Render High End, But Native FG off, and LSFG on

fps 45-60 No stutters except in 2 places (the 2 airports, but stutters were extreme). Otherwise no stutters at all. It never got above 60 because my monitor was set down to 60 Hz. The stutters at the airport were where my system could not input enough fps to LSFG to make it work.

95% of flight was locked solid at 60fps and stutter free. Only dropped in those 2 spots (the 2 airports)

-----------

DX 11

Same as last: Same DLSS Balanced, Render High End, But Native FG off, and LSFG on. But now DX11

Zero stutters, locked in at 60 the whole flight. Perfect.

The moral to me is to use LSFG and DX 11 for FG, instead of native. I could probably do this with a series 3000 or 2000 card just the same.

I also get a bit more stability when monitor is set down to 60hz instead of 120 or 144, or 165 (my other choices). LSFG will just lock fps at 60 to match the refresh  rate of 60fps.

Low and slow over the Thames through the city and over all those bridges is a beautiful thing in WU XVII !

EDIT: I was also using that wu xvii water mask (sand bag) that everyone was talking about (flightsim.to). And my Heathrow was the Inibuilds which everyone said had not so great performance when it was released a long time ago. (That's where the bad stutters were in DX12. None in DX11).

When I set monitor refresh rate to 120, LSFG would FG me all the way up to 120 fps, but fps values would bounce around up and down, 99 107, 120, etc. and is not as stable. At 60 it just locks on 60 and stays there.

4x seems crazy but I suppose it might be ok for very slow screen movement games. I envision lots of artifacts and ghosting while looking around.
