Perhaps it’s different with 2.2, haven’t tested. It wasn't for me. No difference between this beta version and the previous one. No difference, still stutters when fps falls below a certain level. In my case below 50 (with FG). That’s 25 “base fps”, which is probably too low. I aim for 50x2 with LS to stay at display refresh rate. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
August 2, 20241 yr Author I don't have first rate hardware (4070 not 4090, 5800X3D instead of 7800X3D). This latest version of LSFG came free because I had purchased the earlier version on Steam. Steam just updated it, like Steam just updates MSFS. This latest version of LSFG is the only version of it that I liked or used after a trial. It is smooth and without flutters or stutters. For the first time ever since I bought the 4070, I am no longer using native FG. Without LSFG my fps are just below 40 or a little above 50, but only with native FG. Without any FG I am in the high 20's and a slide show. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. August 2, 20241 yr Author I bought LSFG on Steam. It updates automatically to the latest version on Steam. I don't know of anyplace other than Steam to purchase LSFG. But maybe there is. When I run MSFS I click the Steam client and then click LS and then click MSFS2020. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. August 2, 20241 yr I've actually found that 2.2 was giving me horrible artifacting at night. During the day there were no issues but at night a horrible flickering/image shifting to the point I almost saw two images the screen was moving so much. 1.1 has no issues at night. So for me personally it is 1.1 at night and 2.2 during the day. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Still no magic pill...probably will have to wait for FS2024 for that. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

August 3, 20241 yr Hardware makes a huge difference. On my desktop 4090, this program works great, easily tripling my frame rates. On my old laptop with a measly 740M, this app helps not much at all since the video card is already nearly maxed out at >=85% usage from the get go. It's interesting because the program actually lowers the base frame rate in order to reach my systems maximum frame rate potential using the 2 or 3x multiplier. Also I get the impression this program is much more efficient with modern video card architecture.
August 3, 20241 yr I wonder if it's possible to cap your base framerate at say, 30. Then use Native FG to double that. Then use this tool to double or triple that.... it could end up displaying 120-180 FPS. But I'm not sure how it could be done. The best and most stable (with the least amount of artifiacting) way I've managed to do it has been using DX11, RTSS limiting MSFS to 30 FPS, then using 2X mode with this tool. 3X works, but there is a bit of artifacting. Why DX11? Because frametimes seem to be much more consistent which results in far less stuttering. Why RTSS and not a frame cap in the NVCP? Same reason, Frametimes are far more consistent by limiting the framerate using RTSS. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

I have been unable to stack native series 4000 FG on top of LSFG. I have to use one or the other. If I use both, fps nosedives to about 5-10 fps and stutters ruin the sim. This is with every version of LSFG. Tonight I flew one flight in UK from one airport to 8 others in the same flight. Using the new LSFG. Glorious! But they were the Skerries and Shetland addon airports from flightsim.to, Orbx, and Asobo. Asobo made Outer Skerries. Some of the addon strips were short and grass in the Shetlands, so I used the new payware Cub which only has 60 horsepower. Which can land on half the length of a very short strip and then continue straight out and take off using the other half ! Easy for me to see why these original engine Cubs were such a favored bushplane ! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
