August 17, 20241 yr Hi, Their networking fix didn't address multiple computer external views, large cloud update didn't address the mismatch between computers, shadow quality doesn't have anything to do with alignment and you had to go back to X-Plane 10 to find a bad report? As far as your high regard statement you're entitled to your opinion, but I could care less of what you think of me as a result of my postings! Would you like a list from the XP12 ones? I assure you, they are plentiful. I picked one of the ridiculous ones I remember. I stopped worrying about them for XP12. 22 minutes ago, Mike_CFII_MEL said: As far as your high regard statement you're entitled to your opinion, but I could care less of what you think of me as a result of my postings! Cool. Then if you find problems, report them. They're fixed when they get fixed. If you can't wait for the fixes, read some books or go for walks. Constantly ranting and complaining about networking issues on here do nothing to get them fixed. This isn't a support channel for LR. Fair enough? Good. 👍 Edited August 17, 20241 yr by GoranM

Agreed...really tiresome quality of discussions around here. Moreover, @Mike_CFII_MEL haven't you mention you talked, face to face, with Ben Supnik in the last flighsimcon, who told you networking fixes are coming in a short term patch this year!? I mention this since I'm interested in better networking as well.

August 17, 20241 yr I Send a report to X-Plane for an error in the terrain where there are helipads and the terrain is very inclined and it is impossible to land there. Making a complete description and presenting the Log.txt plus some photos they usually respond quickly. Personally I think that the complaints are valid but when asking for help or making a report it must be done with as much detail as possible so that it is easier for the developer to solve it.

Aside from the required report and additional paperwork (going back to XP11) I've also included video footage of the issues. Can't make it any clearer than that, we'll see what 12.3 brings. Was told it will be in that release, lets see if it gets pushed back again. August 17, 20241 yr Hmm...this is disappointing to hear. All I can say is that I'm pretty careful about which addons I purchase. And I can tell just from the screenshots that addon is a waste of money (and undoubtedly the other one on offer, too). I mean, first clue is simply there's no screenshots of the interior. And then if you scrub through the video to get to the cockpit, it looks like it was lifted straight out of a bad FSX addon from 10 years ago. The instruments aren't even the correct sizes...which means they were borrowed from somewhere else. Sorry you got scammed - if a Hi Fi version of that jet ever comes out (and I mean like Aerobask, Thranda, et al), i'd buy it in a heart beat.

At least judging by the other in-sim store... personally hoping its ships with similar functionality to xplane - namely get a 15 minute fully operational demo before buying - Id prefer that to refunds. One of those (time limited demo or refund) + the already promised transparent review system will be a giant leap forward in flight sim shopping. Cant come soon enough. It will also force someone on LRs payroll to actually test 3PD aircrafts and hopefully get LR to prioritise more stable tools for developers, a major refactor is needed there (they have started baby steps with the avionics), I can say with some confidence none of the issues on the OP will actually be directly the developers fault, but rather some brittle aspect of default XP systems that fails with no meaningful feedback unless it completely explodes the sim and triggers a crash report. That's a very superficial assessment as because in all fairness, the developer already spent a lot of effort on these models and they have been around since XP11 (or earlier). The main issue is that bugs and other drawbacks are not acknowledged or get fixed in a hodgepodge manner with zero documentation and that offers for outside help from users are ignored. With a bit of release management, a development plan and better community engagement, any wrinkle in this product could be ironed out to not provide the impression of an unfinished cashgrab. P.S: Using the default G1000 in lieu of whatever big screen glass the real thing is using is an acceptable practice for a $20 product. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
