August 20, 20241 yr Can someone please help how to get this running smooth. What settings in sim ? I have a 7950x3d. 3080ti. 6000mhz 32gb ram 49lg hdr uhd 4k tv 60hz I have auto fps and lossless.. But i would like to know what settings to use to get it quite smooth without the apps. Because with out auto fps and lossless its quite stuttery. Thanks Mike
August 20, 20241 yr First, try to stabilize your sim so that is capable of giving out more than 30 native FPS. Use your favorite tweak guide for that. You have a 7950X3D, it shouldn't be hard. Pay attention specially to TLOD, OLOD and your amount of AI traffic (aircraft, roads, and boats). Then, lock your frame rate to 30 FPS using RTSS and Noel's front edge sync method. Instructions here: And finally, apply 2X in Lossless Scaling. And voilà, 4K at 60 FPS. Some people may suggest to use instead 20 FPS in RTSS and 3X in LS. It can work too. TLOD and heavy AI traffic. Are you using stock or an addon for AI? Try to keep TLOD at or below 200 for smoother experience. I tend to run 300 in rural areas and 200 in cities, but I like eye candy and am okay with some stutters. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I will pay close attention here as my system failed a week ago and I am configuring a new system based on AMDly x3d. the previous system was i7-10700K, RTX 3080, 32 DRAM. New system will be R7 7800x3D RTX 4080 Super. The previous I7, 3080 system, at true 4K, with AutoFPS set to 60 fps, with mostly Ultra settings, was super smooth everywhere other than major city areas with hi-res addons. Even then the sim was acceptably flyable. My new x3d is expected to boost performance considerably. Are you looking for smooth performance, or looking for FPS? You have me concerned about my new x3d build. It's totally smooth at 4K 60. If that doesn't do it, I'd suggest vsync off in sim, on in nvidia control panel. That's how I run my setup, basically. August 20, 20241 yr You can run ultra settings without issues. That chip will eat 200 TLOD for breakfast. What’s probably happening is you’re running into VRAM issues. Ambient Occlusion was one setting that, with the 30 series cards needed to be on Medium. Everything else can be cranked up. With a 3080, run DX11. DX12 obliterates VRAM in a hurry. Next, lock your FPS with RivaTuner at 30, then upscale with LSFG at 2x. You’ll get 60 FPS at half the price in terms of GPU usage as well as VRAM usage. August 20, 20241 yr My system with everything Ultra, Tlod 400 and old 200 gives me a smooth consistent 60fos at 4k. Your system is very high so should easily get a smooth 60fos+ with Lossless Scaling. I have read that CPU needs some settings changed in the bios for best performance?
