While we're all waiting, I want to give a shoutout to the people at VirtualFRA as well as Aviotek that both provided us with free versions of EDDF. Both of these are vast improvements over the handcra

The way I see it is that Chewwy and other streamers were given an evaluation copy at one point with the list shown above indicating what still needed completing. The product page at Aerosoft clearly s

  • Will be buying this once it's on Contrail. No way I'm buying anything in that awful Aerosoft One thing.

Great! It's taken a long time to get this mega hub in our sims. I hope performance will be good.

The VirtualFRA freeware is nice, but looks like freeware. The Aviotek Sim freeware is just too heavy on my PC.

Definitely sooner than expected for me. This will fill a huge gap in the network. Frankfurt is simply very conveniently located for flights in the range of 1-2 hours block time.

You'd think that the devs would be more upfront about whether the Aerosoft Frankfurt MSFS 2024 update will be free or not?

AMD 9800X3D,  NZXT X73 RGB AIO COOLER, Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7, 64GB 6000MHZ RAM, 4TB Samsung Pro NVME, 4 TB Crucial P3+ NVME, 4TB Crucial SSD, Gigabyte Gaming OC Geforce RTX5090, Antec C8 ARGB Case, X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, LG 4K C4 42" TV/Monitor 120 Hz, 2 Dell 1080 monitors. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. Moza AB6 FFB Joystick, Pimax Crystal Light VR, Tobii Eye tracker, Steelseries Arctis 7+ Wireless Headphones.

It looks awesome. Jo Erlend always delivers.

How are they supposed to be "upfront" when they have no idea of what kind of work it'll require?

Other devs have already said if their updates will be free or not.

Genuine question here… what dev exactly has said they are planning to charge customers?

Sure. And they did by going out on a limb and hoping for the best. No one has seen the new SDK yet.

Wouldn’t some Devs already have their hands on it? I mean it’s almost September so I would imagine they would have some documentation or early previews of it so they can gauge what’s in store for their projects.

Everyone so far has said they haven't seen it.

Plenty of others devs have said they'll upgrade their products for free.

Devs who have had access to the MSGS 2024 SDK have signed NDA's so they cannot talk about it.

Why would they be when they do not have the full technical details of the MSFS 2024 SDK? How are they going to know what alterations are required (and what extra features they can add) until they get hold of this (and the simulator itself)?
