For those not yet aware re Asobo's KDEN: mesh fixed

Featured Replies

I became dissatisfied with Flight Beam's version for a couple of reasons and before trying another 3rd party option thought it might be worth seeing if Asobo ever got around to fixing the heinous slopes in different areas, and indeed they did and it's quite decent, the entire offering, for free I guess if you have Premium not sure about the others.  FB never did anything good with terrain mesh there it's essentially flat and that's too bad as it takes away way too much character for the RW setting.  So I've uninstalled FB's now and will stick with Asobo unless X-codr's performance is really good so would like to hear how that is compared to FB's KDEN.

Have no idea what scenery for KDEN is in use by you. You appear to take some form of exception to the original poster, but you did not name what scenery is providing the performance you cite.  You were not clear.  Who is "we"?  What other thread?  Your post is rather hollow as it is woefully incomplete.

So does the updated Asobo "handcrafted" Denver have the recent extensions to the terminals modelled?  That's the only significant issue I have with the FlightBeam version, which I bought due to the horrific terrain anomalies that existed in the Asobo version for years after the initial release.

Yeah I only bought FB's because of the terrain problems and delighted they fixed them.  I prefer it over FB's already but TBH I don't really know the airport so perhaps just install it it's very quick to uninstall FB's first and install Asobo's.  Asobo's is good enough for my needs but if X-codr's is much glitzier I might buy it if performance is comparable.

Now if they'd just fix the nearby KBJC airport. It's been called "Detroit Metro" since release.

Did you put in a zendesk on that?  I did a few times on the KDEN terrain and maybe it helped a little.   I'm glad you brought it up I will do zendesk ritual again.

No, because it's classified as "Will not fix". They aren't going to bother.

Where did you learn that?

Get the X-Codr version. KDEN as it is today with all terminals and extensions. Beautiful done terrain mesh (landing on 16R, you can’t see the terminal due to the rwy sitting low like in real life) and really well done sodium lights for night flights. My new go to airport now. No issues with performance.

Can also recommend highly! Upgraded from Flightbeams outdated and now Xcodor’s version 1.1 makes it even better!!
