Hi Everybody,

I just got chastised on an x-plane discord channel for posting a real photo of a flight deck, here is the quote "This cockpit isn't X-Plane, I'm 100% sure it is real life. Why did you send it to this channel?" Another member had to point out that you could see the monitor bezels and that it was in fact a simulator. XP12 is looking Great at night, yep I may be a bit bias.

Guess my night lighting edits are done!

I can tell you this... I haven't seen clouds like his on my system, and I am not even running top-end settings. What I CAN tell you is that yesterday I did the same flight in a 737 from Atlanta to Tam

Yeah, I don't understand this either... There are many of us here who fly on MSFS too.. I think even Goran has MSFS as well. No one is held to any weird "you must only use one sim" thing. There are st

All I can say is ..... WOW! I'm speechless (and a little envious 😁)

It amazing how quickly some people forget that X Plane is use in more than one way than just displaying on a 2D monitor, like VR or cockpit builds like what you have.

Where's your latest Mike? Would like to see that. I can probably muster up 2 or 3 FPS at night.

12.2 has further improvements tentatively pencilled in, I learned while discussing some bugs yesterday (there is support for those pitch black areas outside having better depth - e.g. to the left of the picture and above the co pilot master caution.warning, but it's broken atm).

I am really interested! Having an issue when using « extended night lights » together with Autoortho. I still see the limits of the lights delimited by a clear straight line although the terrain is being loaded further away. Not sure if you know why that is?

Hi,

I'm working on daytime lighting then I'll get it uploaded to replace my old set. It will be found here when I replace the old edits. https://fi.x-plane.to/file/388/x-plane-12-night-lighting-edits

I stopped using autoautho some time ago, I believe that line you speak of was one of my issues. For me, extended lights seem to blend in better without autoautho setup. That may be your issue as well.

It was pitch black when I tried it last night. I am assuming you have an Alpha/Dev build?
