I get you don't like anyone critising the product for some reason but this isn't close to ready and if you lack the will to tell anyone that you'll deserve what you get at release.

This isn't represntive of the final product. It's purposely reduced in features and made to test specific things.

Why is that so fudging hard to understand?

The sim is broken for me. I get a CTD about 1 min into every free flight I load.

So based on this response, you've doubled down and shown you haven't read the link I posted. I plead with you, please read the link in it's entirety.

Might I remind you a Beta is software that is feature complete with bugs, an Alpha is not feature complete. This is a purposely stripped down client of a feature complete product.

I've read it and I'm afraid you're the one reading more into it.
yes there are features and content missing but the idea this isn't a representation of the core experience they will deliver on 19th is IMHO just wishful thinking

You are still completely misunderstanding what this test is.

How can it be a representation of core experience if core features are missing?

Because you're suggestion is <wortd not allowed>.

This is the core sim with lots of stuff not turned on yet. The fact that what we are seeing is pretty but VERY far from ready is of critical significance.

No, I'm just not willing to give MS and Asobo a pass this close to the release date.

Dude I'm the first to stick the knives into Asobo, but they've made it very very very very very very clear to YOU that this is not representative of the final product, it is purely a server stress test build, pure & simple. You are the one not understanding things here, sorry to be blunt.

Because this is the core we have here - the UI and flight sim bit and THAT'S NOT READY.

Adding more features is not going to improve that situations.

Confirmed...

Does this help from the original MSFS forum?

  • When completing different activities in succession (for example, completing a Challenge, then launching a Free Flight), you may lose controller input.
    • Workaround: Restart the sim.

We don't have the complete core sim in this alpha, we have a watered down stress test version.

I guess you have an entirely seperate understanding of the sentence than everyone else here. Though I'll just drop this as it isn't really getting to you.

From their forum:

Please note the TECHNICAL Alpha is an in-development build and not at all representative of the final product. The Technical Alpha build was created with the sole intent to gather telemetry and feedback on online services. The content available for the Technical Alpha is limited in scope. You may also encounter obvious crashes, bugs, and issues. Instructions on where to provide feedback will be shared with those selected to participate.

This is the core sim. Asobo don't have multiple version they have the core and features that plug into it.
This is the core with features taken out.
That's how development works, ESPECIALLY this close to release.
