MSFS 2024 Insider Program in October - Join Now

I see so much great feedback on the flight model and whilst it seems better in the air, I seem to be getting the nose down behaviour again on rotate and landing like we did in the very early MSFS days with the slightest crosswind.. and still no proper right rudder required on takeoff to counteract torque?

Best regards,

Did somebody figured out how make track IR work? I have tobii eye tracker and track IR option is turned on but 2024 doesn't respond on head movement.

I dunno. My TrackIR worked out of the box. Just ran the TrackIR app before starting the sim.

I can't seem to find any procedural rocks where we've seen them before, might not be in this build. Yosemite valley appears to have photogrammetry

Hopefully though for the time they're in the game Asobo/MS are getting the data they're after which is fundamentally the most important thing, anything that can help them improve server structure and data transfer ready for release is good for all of us.

Glad I didn't bother signing up though, rather save my first impressions for release day.

They are 4 weeks from release.
What I'm seeing here isn't close to ready to go out (which to be honest isn't any different from MSFS 2020)

(Flight model is OK and visuals are nice where they are working properly but there are bugs and broken features all over the place with a UI that just feels like an early test not a final product)

I am defintely pleased by the performance on my mediocre machine with all on ultra. did even pass my PPL though it was difficult to find a suitable airport, wish they gave us some hints which one can be choosed.

Ya maybe some of the procedural elements are missing in this build... 3D grass also might be bugged?

Crazy that you read Marc's comment and still made this reply lol. I just can't. Did people even bother to read what to expect with the technical alpha? https://www.flightsimulator.com/join-us-for-the-microsoft-flight-simulator-technical-alpha-in-october/

If they are genuinely doing an Alpha (a stage where you have all the feature enabled but they aren't expected to be working properly yet) this close to final release then MS and Asobo's project management has gone catastrophically wrong.

The MSFS 2020 BETA started months out from release and we saw what state that came out in originally.

Ultimately I can only judge what MS release and make my judgements on that.
That judgement is this version isn't going to be close to ready in less than 4 week and based on the experience with the 2020 beta the idea that there is some secret version with all fixes in that they aren't for some reason giving us to test is likely to be wishful thinking.

Dude,

They are NOT testing whether features work/enabled or not.  This Alpha has ZERO to do with that.

So based on this response, you've doubled down and shown you haven't read the link I posted. I plead with you, please read the link in it's entirety.

Might I remind you a Beta is software that is feature complete with bugs, an Alpha is not feature complete. This is a purposely stripped down client of a feature complete product.

You clearly can’t read nor comprehend what this technical alpha is about. Shame they wasted a spot in the program on you.

This is an old, cut down build. You can't compare it to the final release.

Yeah, I haven't seen any. Either bugged or just not enabled for this test.

I get you don't like anyone critising the product for some reason but this isn't close to ready and if you lack the will to tell anyone that you'll deserve what you get at release.
