iFly 737 Max is out now (Pre release only)

Featured Replies

Yes seems some good stuff coming and my issues is also on the list.

Anyone using a seperat tiller ?

I have set controller sensitivity to the same as the PMDG737 - i cannot find any in the manuals regarding this

Any tips for rudder and tiller?

Thanks Michael Moe

I would say basically nothing flat-out "doesn't work".  There are things that can be improved, but not really any more so than a lot of airplanes that have been out for years and are considered decent

  • **We are now releasing version 1.0.0.** This announcement replaces the previous one from a few days ago. The changelog is also replaced. First, we would like to thank everyone who has contributed

  • Another "take 80% of the item, pay 100% and then we'll see" product. Even if i wanted this (it's just another boring 737, so skip anyway) i wouldn't buy it. This is getting out of hand, now even

Sorry  - found some on this topic and it was suggested to set Tiller to -39 in ses. Works pretty good . Rudder i havent found any good balance.

Moving my Throttle to the end and leaving them there seems to do it for now with VNAV in general . I know its in the fix.

Great AC for sure

Wish i could disable the cabin in flight or before takeoff for better FPS (goes without say for many IF any FPS difference)

Front wheel is very sensitive, taxing is problematic as a result.

Another Q regarding the AC.

The SELECTOR which has "L" and "C" position on the PF L and "C" and "R" on the F/O . Whats the deal here ?

I would suspect some panel switch or electronic checklist feature but cant nail it 🙂

It's used to control menus and select items in either the MAINT menu, or for setting V speeds and N1 bugs in the case of dispatch with both FMCs inop.  The NG has dedicated knobs for this that are combined with the menu-driven Maint menu in the Max.

Functionally, in flight sim, you'll never use those controls.

Developers you've never let me down with you FSX and P3D contributions and now a serious update in the works. For me the Max is FS 2020 commercial plane winner of the sim series. Now to 2024!😀

For me, and commercial aircraft only, it has to be Fenix. Nobody had heard of them, they promised a lot during development, and delivered at launch, EFB and Simbrief integration to name but a few from day 1. But everyone will have their favourite from the past 4 yrs.

I'm sorry? As much as I love the Fenix (I think it's the best airliner dev), I think the MAX holds a lot of promise, especially with the incoming update.

The glareshield is very short. It is not obvious in 2D, but in VR it is very short and feels a big difference comparing with PMDG 737NG.

The cockpit geometry must be the same in both aircrafts. Are they going to rework the cabin? Maybe you know?

It's funny; I fly the darn things for work and I always have trouble recognizing the "cockpit geometry" issues people complain about (the PMDG had issues for years as well); it usually looks fine to me haha.  But I never considered that the people complaining might be in VR where it makes sense these kinds of things would be more obvious!

Anyway, yes, glare shield and window frame geometry is in the changelog for the upcoming v1.0 update/release.

Just updated the iFly manager. Had to do it in admin mode as it couldn't replace some files. Hopefully the aircraft update is just around the corner.

This was posted on their discord:

"Comprehensive modifications were done to the flight deck dimensions using a scan provided by one of our technical advisors and data from a maintenance provider."

Their upcoming V1.0.0 update has several fixes as well as crucial joystick throttle inhibit feature, I am really looking forward to that. After that it is the max 200 variant which I will be looking forward to.
