Good point! Thanks for confirming that, as I have yet to try the 'Max. I also have "Decrease Thrust" bound on my PMDG setup for the "Flightsim Factory" 737 Levers (Honeycomb Bravo).

I havent any  "decrease Thrust" to the letter option ? in MSFS

I would say basically nothing flat-out "doesn't work".  There are things that can be improved, but not really any more so than a lot of airplanes that have been out for years and are considered decent

  • **We are now releasing version 1.0.0.** This announcement replaces the previous one from a few days ago. The changelog is also replaced. First, we would like to thank everyone who has contributed

  • Another "take 80% of the item, pay 100% and then we'll see" product. Even if i wanted this (it's just another boring 737, so skip anyway) i wouldn't buy it. This is getting out of hand, now even

Sorry Michael! I have edited my previous post. I in fact bound "Reverse Levers" to "Hold Throttle Reverse Thrust", NOT "Decrease Thrust". That was the only binding that allowed me to engage Reverse Thrust properly on my Honeycomb Bravo setup.

Exactly, here is a video that explains how. Don’t skip the Sensitivity settings as explained from 5:50 forwards.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it work with the MAX.

Any word on when an update for the plane is coming out?

Guess not -  and i now understand why 🙂  simply  - i  setup my PMDG controller setup and all works as is 🙂

The RF SID ODN3A from EKCH was done nicely . I do stay away from Vatsim 🙂 They apreciated it i know guys.

The Performance in CRZ FL360 above the island FYN (in Denmark)is great - i have to recycle camera sometimes to regain performance? - otherwise small stutters) going from Drone to VC but simular to others.

Any 737 Lovers go a head

Update: Landed at LPPT ILS 02 after a 20nm sithseeing and it was amazing. Did not use the HUD this time but so many things do do. I havent even tried out to see the cabin yet.

9/10 from here in score. (EFB is autentic and very much of it is good but maybe a switch to a new version in a profile along the road ?)

Is EFB on the F/O working btw ?

EFB: Hectopascal in performance  page is not working regardless of US/Metric state.

Sounds - well i started to be satisfied but later on i was a little dissapointed because of my buttkicker. Way better with low sub sounds in the PMDG.

UPDATE 2 : YES GSX WORKS with everything visual

Wow

You'll probably find you want to change your reverse thrust binding.  If you use the one in the PMDG where you hold a button and then operate your throttles for reverse thrust, you'll find that works strangely in the iFly.  What I've done for now is re-bind my reverse thrust levers/buttons to "decrease thrust".

Legend mate, I was wondering why it was acting all wonky. I was using the same setup for reverse that I used to use on the PMDG.

Those LEAP engines do save fuel. EKCH-LPPT is about 900 kilos less than the 737-800. SSW might also help a bit

Yeah they do..I see about 400 to 600 lbs (180 to 275 kg) less per hour average fuel burn over the 737-800 myself in cruise.  Also the MAX is happy cruising at a slightly higher speed so you arrive at your destination a few minutes earlier in the MAX over the 737-800.

Update 3:

Went for a flight  - LPPT-LPMA  - as RyanAir 387 this morning and tried out the possible RNP AR approach to 05 (Z) . I adjusted ther verctical RNP to 125feet and the initial approach was good. Well done

The VNAV STAR not so great. RAKUN1P .  The speed dropped way below FLAPS speed (150knots) and the A/T never tried to regain speed . The A/T kept beeing in ARM mode so moving the throttle manually was the only way to keep speed up. I think the bird is really not liking manually thrust or spiking as such for now. After regaining speed i activated VNAV again and as mentioned the RNP05Z was good.

Still great flight -  though it kills the immersion a bit . Nothing that cant be solved in an update for sure

Question :

In the PMDG we can doubleclick to silent the alarm for A/T and the CMD A . Not so in the MAX

Any good tip ?

Thanks

I have not found a way to do it.  I just disable A/T and AP and click the annunciators to shut off the warnings.  Not sure if that will be in the next version or not..??

Status update Nov. 11, 2024 @everyone First, we would like to thank everyone who has contributed to helping us advance the product. We apologize for some delays in getting the next build out to you, however, we believe the delay comes with some benefits. In developing a complex aircraft such as the MAX8, along with the platform of MSFS, it is beneficial to tackle other elements when fixing one. For example, in the web of connected systems, one change may create 3 required changes, and each of these can create more changes. So what has happened is we have far exceeded our original list of items posted. The list has now grown to over 100 features or fixes added. Because of this, we have met or exceeded our targeted version 1.0.0 milestone. The next build will be version 1.0.0. Our plans are to have it out to testers any time now for a final validation, then release as soon as possible after that. After 1.0.0 is released, we will almost immediately look at MSFS 2024 compatibility (once MSFS 2024 is released). We will keep you informed during the MSFS 2024 compatibility process. Version 1.0.0 Changelog:

Yes.  There is a different control binding that allows this.  I noticed it as well in the Max at first, and had a look at bindings. I realized I had my A/P disconnect button bound to something like "toggle autopilot"; there must have been a reason this was correct for the PMDG but works as you'd expect in every other airplane including the Max - it simply toggles the A/P status.  So if the A/P is engaged, one press turns it off, and the next press turns it back on.

There is a different key binding available though, I think called "disconnect autopilot' or something close.  This will give you the expected behavior - first press will disconnect autopilot, subsequent presses will silence warnings and then do nothing.

Wow, can’t wait! Looks like the 3 issues I struggled with the most are fixed + 108 more that I wasn’t aware of 😄
