Pretty satisfied with this new update and it's going to just get better and better with time 😎

I would say basically nothing flat-out "doesn't work".  There are things that can be improved, but not really any more so than a lot of airplanes that have been out for years and are considered decent

  • **We are now releasing version 1.0.0.** This announcement replaces the previous one from a few days ago. The changelog is also replaced. First, we would like to thank everyone who has contributed

  • Another "take 80% of the item, pay 100% and then we'll see" product. Even if i wanted this (it's just another boring 737, so skip anyway) i wouldn't buy it. This is getting out of hand, now even

So far so good. I have to admit to really liking this jet. It’s up there with the Fenix for me. If they can nail the SimBrief integration, along with cabin sounds and GSX working seamlessly like it does with the Fenix - this will be my go to aircraft in the sim.

At night it’s fun to play around with the cabin lighting also - as much as at the start I thought it was a gimmick. I’ve never been a fan of passenger add-ons, serving meals and all that nonsense but once in the cruise it would add an extra level of immersion for the lighting settings to cycle through different phases, along with the curtain into business closing etc.

I actually fell asleep last night looking out of the passenger window with the lighting theme set to night. That Boeing Sky Interior sure makes you drowsy!

I am also really enjoying  this aircraft, there's enough difference for me between the NG's and the Max. Just done LIMJ-EGCC after the update, and it was flawless. If they can get Simbrief integration, and a bit of tidy up of the EFB ( It seemed a bit over complicated at first, but i am getting used to it.) Other than that, it's right up there.

Folks maybe we can try to slowly switch to this thread now the Max is officially ist as v1?

Just an idea 🙂

IFly EFB was designed by former assembly language programmer lol Everything is “ get”, “set” lol

This post so made me miss my days as an assembler games coder!

@Stearmandriver - did the iFly team say that they would address your feedback regarding the HUD on the MAX? Right now, the HUD is the only significant weakness of the aircraft.

Yes, I submitted a detailed write up and they took it seriously.  In fact there's a new internal beta out now that has HUD changes in the notes; I won't get to try it until Sunday or Monday but hopefully changes are imminent.

@RNAVV19R progress!  Much corrected symbology, low vis takeoff guidance and AIII rollout guidance now working correctly, takeoff rotation cue working correctly, and localizer and glideslope in IMC and AIII now correctly referenced to course set arrow and glideslope reference line in AIII and IMC.  At this point I'd say this is about the best HGS representation in the sim.  I do not know when the next public update will be, but this is all good things 👍.

I believe you are a real-world pilot with experience in the Max? Is it a faithful rendition of the real thing (as much as you can get in a consumer flight sim). Anything "broken" or just not present (again, within reason. I don't expect every last tiny real world thing to be replicated

It's very faithful.  It's both more feature-complete, and more accurately functional, than the competing 737 in MSFS2020.  There are minor improvements that could still be made of course, but like you say, there's probably a limit to the level of perfection that can be expected in a desktop sim.  The good news though is that the devs are highly open to suggestions and information.  I could note that I made all the same suggestions to the competition a couple years ago, and it was basically ignored, so this is an awful refreshing change 👍.

Thank you , I appreciate the perspective from someone that knows the plane for real.

Note that these pics I just posted are from a test build of the aircraft and not the current release version.  I posted them in response to someone asking if the devs were working on the HUD.  This test version contains many fixes and improvements to the current release version, and so if you were to buy the plane today, the HUD wouldn't look quite like this.  But the improvements have already been made and are presumably coming soon.  👍
