Look on the bright side: by the time you'll be able to download this, the initial rush will have calmed down, and maybe the first patch will have been released.

Because in the beginning of my simming days, with FS2004 and then FSX, Aerosoft was one of the best! I purchased many great products from them, and I absolutely loved their Airbus series!

Also I remember buying the PMDG 747 hard-copy from them. They had a great system going!

I said "lately" because since FS2020 I have seen a decline in their standards. I wasn't too impressed with their CRJ and things that haven't been fixed. Then I was looking forward to their first Airbus for FS2020, the A330. Needless to say I didn't end up purchasing it due to glaring quality issues...

And now my expensive FS2024 order is messed up and with no justifiable excuse or definite solution given. Extremely poor service, not the Aerosoft I used to know 😔

In the Netherlands, and I'm rather sure in Germany too, when ordered an item online, one can send it back within 14 days for a full refund.

So this also implies, that you should be able to cancel the order before it has been shipped.
Just ask them.

“Thank you for pre-ordering the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - Limited Collector’s Edition.
 
We are pleased to inform you that your order is not affected by the current delays. The shipping of your Limited Collector’s Edition is expected to take place this week!“

I was interested to read that my order is not affected by the current delays as I was expecting it by 19th November!

It’s no problem, I have access to the sim already and in no rush for the trinkets.

I was just surprised to be told my pre order wasn’t affected by current delays when it’s already 2 weeks late, maybe there are other delays I’m not aware of ?

Further to this comedy of errors by Aerosoft I received a “sorry we missed you” text notification from UPS on Friday as they attempted to deliver my collectors edition.

A bit strange as I was away flying in Asia at the time, but my wife was home all day.

I’ve just found out Aerosoft have actually sent it to a house I moved out of 10 years ago …….

Ive double checked on my Aerosoft account and my present address is correct and set as default for delivery so I really don’t know what’s going on.

I’ve sent a redirect request to UPS so hopefully it’ll be here tomorrow, along with a bill for £60 import duty BTW !

Question, did you know that the order had shipped? Did you have tracking information or did UPS just randomly text you that they were trying to deliver?

 

I just got the text from UPS, I didn't see anything from Aerosoft.

Going onto the aerosoft website I could then see it had dispatched and there was a UPS tracking number.

It was due for delivery in the next hour but the tracker has now reverted to "on the way" from "out for delivery" so it's not over yet !
