What a busy final month for MSFS 2020!  We got the Just Fight RJ Professional released today. Then we had the iFly 737 Max released a few weeks ago, and then the FBW A380 released, and then the Fenix

I hope they will do the F27 or F50 too.

Flightsim rig:
CPU: AMD 5900x  | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL
Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906
Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking

I had a red AP light (including the sound) in the Flight Annunciator.
However there was no way to turn it off / silence the horn. Also the AP could not be re-engaged.
Any thoughts?

Quote

AP (red) – autopilot disconnect. Illuminates momentarily (0.75 seconds) if manual autopilot disconnect or steady ‘red’ if disconnection due to system failure. Also shown on EFIS PFDs and coupled with a ‘cavalry charge’ audio warning. Extinguished by pushing either disconnect button or by re-engaging the autopilot.

Hmmm. I did same approach last night in JF Grand Duke and plane also turned away from airport. Had to fly manual or I'd have ended up over Heathrow.

Reckon in my case was frequency issue as I'm used to switching to ils on gps manually after selecting vloc but I think unit switched automatically without me noticing so I switched back.

Also had hdg mode stuck on no way to deactivate which didn't help. Just thought I'd mention going to try again later. Was using lc1 transition if that helps, from memory. The one with larger base radial.

This happened to me several times at EGHI Southampton on the RNP 02 approach, until I noticed that the aircraft was picking up the ILS frequency at EGHH Bournemouth (this is 110.50 Mhz, and that is the frequency that is set as default in the PMDG 737-600). When I switched to the backup frequency (113.90), I was able to complete the approach just fine. Of course, the best way to stop this from happening is to disable capture of any ILS frequencies when conducting an RNP approach. This can be done in the PMDG 737-600, but I have no idea if other products have a similar option.

If anyone has the 146 on the Marketplace it is possible to "transfer" it to the Contrail store using the form here (transferring doesn't remove the plane from the Marketplace it just adds it to your Contrail account)

https://forms.contrail.shop/transfer

I don't know if that will make you eligible for the discount on the RJ  in the Contrail store but it doesn't cost anything so may be worth a try.

A little bit to the right of the landing gear lever there's a small panel with a label named MWS, there's the switch

Worked a treat!  Thanks!! 🙂

Not sure about your LOC issue - but "Steep Approach" does nothing to slow you down, that's up to you to set the speedbrakes, "Steep Approach" is there to let GPWS know that you're coming in at a higher angle than the norm.

Ahh ok that explains it then.  IIRC the E190 does deploy a bit of spoiler to help regulate speed and I made the incorrect assumption that it was the same here.  Thanks very much.

Interesting, maybe it’s a scenery issue then and not the aircraft.  In my case I don’t think it was picking up another ILS as it said it was on a back course and I had manually dialed in the frequency.  This was with the ORBX v2 of EGLC.  I’ll open another thread though as it doesn’t seem to be an aircraft specific issue.

Did you have the inbound course set on the same side as the ILS was tuned? (092 degrees).

I’m curious if the table to convert CG% to a takeoff elevator trim value is accessible anywhere in the cockpit?  I found the table in the manual but would prefer not to have to go digging through a PDF every flight.

Out of ideas then sorry. And not flown this enough yet to have seen the same!

No need to look up. Just click the “CG” value box on the EFB and your trim gets set appropriately. You can even watch to be sure if you zoom out a bit.

That's definitely the easiest way to do it, but you can add custom images to the in-cockpit clipboard so you could put .png versions of the pages into \justflight-aircraft-rj\Data\Images\Chart and access them that way.

Hmmmm🤔. One most certainly could do that.  Ain’t technology grand! 😎
