  • Just a general comment: Use the DLSS Swapper app. Makes the whole process painless.

  • I think it is up to individual game devs to decide if/when they will upgrade the game version of dlss. NVidia certainly would not be allowed to overwrite a game devs game files at will. They just make

DLSS Swapper is a curious thing. Why download and install an entire program just to copy/paste a file into a folder?

Maybe I’m just old fashioned but I still drag files around my PC desktop without needing an entire program to do it.😁

Because it not only swaps the files for you, it also detects all DLSS dll files for you, so you do not have to know or remember the folder location.

Of course, it is easy to do when you know where to put it, but some people not so knowledgeable about the file system structure have had problems finding the correct folder.
This program finds it for you, and can swap it over in lots of games within a few seconds.  I think I did Cyberpunk and a few others as well in no time at all.

When I upgrade to this version I lost the ability to select the "Ultra Quality" DLSS Super Resolution setting in the sim (This is enabled in profile inspector) so I had to roll back to the last version 3.7.20.0 as Ultra Quality really helps to stop the blurring on the  speed and altitude tapes 😞

I got that too. As I use DLAA it doesn’t affect me though.

Pete @Peteb10 & Admiral @Cpt_Piett:  Below would seem to indicate that you can use Ultra Quality with Preset F (set via Nvidia Inspector I assume) --

TL;DR: NVIDIA's GeForce Game Ready Drivers version 566.14 introduces DLSS 3.8.10, which is over 50% smaller due to the removal of older presets, retaining only Preset E and Preset F. Preset E is now the default for Performance, Balanced, and Quality modes, while Preset F is for Ultra Performance and DLAA.

Am I mis-interpreting the above?

Ive spent ages wondering why Ultra wasnt showing as well.  Restarted the sim a few times, applied Nvidia Inspector settings repeatedly. Changed to different settings then applied then ultra again but nope didnt work.  Enabled developer mode just to confirm the different dlss settings and their render scale but ultra is not working. Using Preset F, not sure if Preset E is any different.

Didn’t know that, thanks, I’ll give it a try!

Hm, so no Ultra-Quality at all? That’s a pitty. I tested now with Preset E, which is marked as „unused“ in my NVIDIA inspector’s settings, and cannot tell any difference with Preset F and the new, max available „quality“ setting in MSFS.
Compared with the ultra-quality setting before, it might be a little bit more blurred, but it’s hard to tell, cause I cannot do a real side by side pllit monitor comparison.
I am very curious about your findings and hints in that.

Isnt 0.80 native render resolution you can force in nVIDIA Inspector the same as «ultra quality» even if not selectable in MSFS?

How do i fix the efb going all fuzzy and grainy at night using dlss and preset F.

Thanks

@Mace  I am using preset F and in the old version that gives me Ultra Quality in MSFS but with this version of DSLL it disappeared in the Sim even with preset F ☹️

I needed to select profile F and 0.8 in profile inspector to get ultra in the SIM with the previous version but with both of them it doesn't show with this latest version
