After an initial very fast installation, immediately after the new sim was released, and being unable to get on and fly for well over 6 hours last night I eventually got on early this morning (UK).

Went to Free Flight and was able to load into a couple of airports.  I now cannot load into a flight, either free flight or discovery flights.  If I zoon into an airport it takes ages to load the imagery and gates etc. Choosing a gate and fly now just leaves it loading and loading and loading with no progress bar showing a few models of ai traffic.  Ive a good system and internet speed tests confirm I have well over 1100 Mbps.  Sim and pc have been restarted.  Not sure what else to try.  No addons installed. Actual sim starts up very quickly

I am having the same problem, I think it may be a cloud sync problem because when i open one drive it is having a sync problem .lock_16508

but i dont know any way round it, it may be totally irelevent.

Same here, sim is stuck after selecting an aircraft and departing airport. Loading...

Could it be a antivirus issue I,m using Bitdefender just reloading now with it turned off.

That doesn't really matter. If the servers you are trying to reach are full, a fast internet connection doesn't help anything.
Look at it like a traffic jam on the road when you are driving a Porsche. It can do 240km/h but if you're in a traffic jam, your 240km/h Porsche will get you nowhere.
If you happen to have the IP address of one of the MSFS2024 servers, check your internet speed against that particular IP. It will be close to zero!

No that didn't work, could it be a server problem? just grasping at straws, whats your take?

Working for me now. Tried KORD and then LJLJ in a helicopter. Flew around without a hitch for half an hour.

Same problem, I looked at the network activity on task manager and the sim was twitching at 0.1 to 0.9 MB/S so a problem at the server end being slow, no way around it just have to either keep trying or come back later I suppose.

Earlier I uninstalled 2024 and did a reinstall.  Same thing is happening, it just will not fully load a map when zooming into an airport nor load a flight.

I also only have ONE aircraft available. I have left the loading for ages but it does not change.  Router has been restarted but no change.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I was one of the lucky ones who got in to the sim quickly on launch day and everything worked fine for the first few days, but now it fails to load any flights.

deleted all these similar lines related to MSFS24 in your hosts file located in C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/

Save the hosts file and restart the MSFS24. Map textures should work normally.

 

 

Same problem here, can not enter ANY flight. Its just loading endless on the satellite view (before zooming into the aircraft).

This can be for several reasons...Definitely disable all addons.

I edited the prop blur effect for one of my addon planes and had this loading issue arise in MSFS2024 (worked fine in MSFS2020). Once I removed that edit, the sim loaded fine. MSFS2024 is sensitive.

For me it appears to have been the updated-for-2024 hide handlebar addon.

I had instance when 2024 would stuck on loading indefinitely in some airports and I could never get to "Fly" part. I cleaned my community folder and everything started working again. Later I discovered GSX add on what causing problem and some airports. I removed it and everything was loading fine.  GSX was updated since than and partially some loading problem were solved
