December 26, 20241 yr This might be ummm a wna question but the vast majority of flights I've been on and see in major airports use jetways. Plane pulls up, jetway connects people and pilots get off (eventually). How do the next pilots even get down to the ramp /apron to do the walk around? I'm guessing there's a security door below the boarding gate? I've never actually seen pilots use it is all I see them use jetway (I guess after using the security door to walk back in first? Even so that's a lot of pilots milling around out there! Once again excuse my ignorance! Russell Gough SE London

December 26, 20241 yr Why start outside the airplane? It seems like it would make more sense (and be more realistic) to start out in the airport parking lot. Why do they make such half-hearted attempts at realism?

Why do they make such half-hearted attempts at realism? or even more realistic, why not starting from at home? Have given up on FS2024 and went back to FS2020 a couple of weeks ago. Microsoft/Asobo are stealing my time. My request for a refund has been declined by Microsoft, no surprise.

March 27, 20251 yr Is there anything "new" regarding how to immediately get into the cockpit and bypass the FS2024 preflight requirements after loading the plane in to a parking spot? I haven't been able to find a way to do this. Thanks, Al Edited March 27, 20251 yr by ark

For some reason Shift-C does not work for me. Aftr loading into the parking spot, I tried both Shift+C and Ctrl+C but nothing happens. So will just load onto the runway. You can also check within Controls "Search by input" if Shift-C is binded to this particular action. Turns out Shift+C was bound to Take Control of Character, so when I added that to my preferred Profile, I could then toggle back and forth between outside and inside the plane with that binding. Al
