January 6, 20251 yr LNAV/VNAV is now working on the 737 Max. It seems that the FMC likes a SID. My career mode mission had a SID provided by MSFS 2024 and LNAV worked like a champ. I flew this again last night. It had no problems with either LNAV or VNAV and it also did an auto landing with no problem. There's definitely something wrong with the ground power - so I switched the apu on - and I didn't have any problems with Sim Brief 'cause I don't use it. I worked out my flight plan with Little Nav Map and entered it manually. It seems to me to have a certain reluctance to rotate off the runway and the trim wheel is hilarious. I flew Newcastle to Heathrow. I have no idea whether this is a real flight and...I don't really care either. Nor do I care if the fonts aren't correct. What it did do was conform to all the height and speed constraints in my flight plan and descending towards London last night the WXR was a joy to behold in this plane. Asobo did not say this would be as good as pay ware. They said it would be the most complex aircraft they've produced and it undoubtedly is. The only 737 I can compare it to is my PMDG 700 but the last time I tried to fly that the screens were dark and the controls were locked; it was dead Jim. The actual modelling of this plane is, I think, rather superior to the PMDG and it's performance within the sim in terms of frame rate is certainly on a par with the PMDG. I have absolutely no doubt it lacks all the bells and whistles of pay ware but I merely dabble in airliners so this thing suits me fine. I understand that if you take your airliner flying seriously you might be left foaming at the mouth but for a stock plane I think it's amazing. Edited January 6, 20251 yr by DD_Arthur Spelling!

January 8, 20251 yr Ive logged just over 50 flights in the asobo 737 max, of them lnav has worked every time, vnav has gone mental maybe 3-4 times trying to descend me at 7000fpm when it starts descent. The lighting internally is like a horror film tho tbh. ILS and autoland has also worked well. Autothrottle on approach i turn off as it is up and down like a yoyo. NONE of the flights have been in career mode! 3 hours later.... i now have a problem i havent had since the first 2 weeks after launch. i cannot take off!!! have tried 4 times, different airports. not a throttle problem. nothing has changed, just refuses to get more than 50 feet off the ground.
