Flight Won’t Load - White Spinning Circle

i hope the will do some kind of offline version. This stuff stucks so much, still can't believe what they did...

I second that. Had a bit of free time this afternoon, played around a bit with the control setup, went for a little test flight, decided to change to another airplane, selected airport, hit the start flight button and then nothing anymore. Just looking at the turning circle.
Switched back to the previous aircraft but just the same, gazing at the turning circle.
Some say: oh it's launch, it's still early, let's wait a few months for them to set everything straight.
Well, I had some spare time today to fly and have some fun but "they" decided it was not going to happen, although they accepted my money for their product without any delay (no turning circles there).
Time to get their act together on this.

  • One possible reason is an incompatible item in the Community folder. I tried to load the BlackSquare A36 and it just sat there with a spinning circle.. just as you described.

I just tried 3 different servers without success. This is just completely unacceptable, it takes my fairly powerful system 5 minutes to load the sim, and now I've been looking at this circle for 17 mi

  • 566.14 Nvidia driver , just finished a flight around the UK, and landed in London, about 45 minutes. Never saw even a micro stutter. Everything loaded quick and nice. DLSS Quality, Ultra preset render

I’ve spent the last 4 hours trying to start a single flight to no avail. Endless spinning wheel and nothing actually happens, also freeze and CTD when I try to quit to desktop. Flights loaded without issue over the weekend and now nothing.

it’s been said many times but how on earth did this thing make it out into the wild like this? Sure it works great for some people (and me for a few days) but this is insane.

I guess I'm lucky, From the time I press the FS2024 icon to the time I get to the free flight screen, timed out at 2 mins. It took another 3 mins to load the Fenix 321 at KORD at gate with AIG installed.

Get the spinning circle- takes about 10 minutes to load a flight.   Blurry mess after I take off.  😞

anyone experiencing this should first try a vanilla sim, remove every add on no matter how small, reboot and see if the problem continues. Maybe what we are seeing is partly compatibility

absolutely, and exactly what Asobo keeps repeating with each new release "empty your COMMUNITY folder first !", rebooting is not necessary though. anything that interferes with default aircraft (like BlackSqaure analog overhaul aircraft) or obviously aircraft repaints can cause that eternal white circle problem.

very nice.

I was able to fly with a default white livery so it looks like the sim didn’t like Inibuilds liveries (or at least the Delta one that I flew with).

Do you have GSX linked to your Community folder? That was a culprit of ALL of my issues loading a free flight with any plane at any airport.

I had read elsewhere that someone was able to use FlyTampa CYYZ without GSX but it crashed with GSX.  I unlinked GSX for now and had a good flight in the white A330 from FT CYYZ to MK Studios CYUL, both airports worked fine other than bright blue taxiway lights at CYUL which I understand is a core sim issue.

It was my first successful airliner flight in FS2024 so that’s progress.

@virtuali any thoughts on this? I posted a question in your forums, but crickets.

Deactivating GSX 100 percent fixed this issue for me too.

The problem is that even with an empty Community folder, per Asobo any FS2020 marketplace content you have purchased is still getting loaded at the server end - in the cloud. So you can have conflicts that you have no control over locally, unless they have fixed that in the last couple days.

Because there's a Sticky thread on it, which explains you must disable ALL GSX replacement jetways in the GSX Config Panel.

FWIW that was the first thing I did when I linked GSX to FS24, all are disabled.
