Interesting, that seems really long. 2 min and 35 sec when timed for me.

Mine too. Since day 2 it's always a couple seconds or so over 2.5 minutes. (Empty community folder).

My first flight was after entering "fauna" in the search box which took me to South America and the terrain was as good as in the OP video.

2024 is a GA and bush pilot dream.

Still the same terrible experience here in Australia, 32 minutes and on 10% activating packages, last Monday I tried it took over an hour to load into an airport with textures built from vaseline and based on my current stopwatch timer it will be just as bad.   Is this still queuing I wonder because all throughout this time there is no network traffic, I only see things being downloaded when I start the flight and it loads its Minecraft visuals.  I guess AU is down under indeed when it comes to being in the pecking order for this disaster that is streaming everything.

ALT-F4 it is, not even going to bother waiting.

You could use a VPN and connect to a USA server and see if that improves things.

Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Can confirm. I don't know what happened but something got knocked into place at the server farm. This is bonkers! My wife walked by and said, "that's real!". She also said it looked a lot better than 2020. I have been taking so many screenshots!

Full agreement. I have been GA flying world areas I previously thought were great. Now they are spectacular. Some photogrammetry areas haven't change much, but everywhere else is a thing of beauty.

Did you empty your Community folder and did you stop using any add-ons?

Add-ons, including GSX, etc, can cause problems for MSFS 2024 now.

Thanks for the tip but I don't have any add-ons installed at all at this stage, nothing, total vanilla install still.

It's just a vanilla install?  Nothing added to your Community folder?

I have the Fenix added to the community folder and something else I don‘t remember at the moment. However it was already 15 minutes when the folder was still empty a couple of days ago

I shared one of my recent videos with my daugther (she's not interested in flight sim at all, but has seen me simming on 2020). Her first reaction: "how come it looks so good? - did you get a new sim?"

Yup, that's the real testament right there. Has anyone run the sim today? I'm hoping this isn't a fluke. It feels like even the clouds went up a notch and they already looked great. Before yesterday, my planes would take a while to fully load in but now all of the textures load in pristine right from the start.

30 to 32 mins here in uk couple things in community never changed from day 1

very slow to load

Well whatever it was: Today MSFS2024 started within maybe 3 minutes. At most 5 minutes. Nothing changed in the community folder, so it was definitely a server issue. Who knows what else is caused by server issues.
