  • Amigos,  1. If you are using FG, upgrading Dlss to 3.8 does not make any sense, as in this version FG is bundled in single dll with the basic dlss. It will not be used at all by FS, which expects

I saw this yesterday and tried it. It seems to work OK.

Wow!!!

I know what I am trying after my conference call!!

I did see this in another thread here on Avsim but can't remember which one LOL... Multi tasking is not always efficient 😉

If this simple config change works I will be over the moon.  The video is pretty convincing!

I’ve tried this, but with my 4090 I got much lower FPS than on TAA, even with ultra performance.

Ah, good to know.  I wonder if it can be coupled with lossless scaling which I am using now.  Then losing the FPS wouldn't be an issue.

Was it a big hit?

Did you try to update your DLSS DLL to the latest version?

It was, with TAA and FG on I was hitting 75FPS at Heathrow, with this tweak I went down to the low/mid 50s.

I did, but wonder whether it depends on the Profile F I had selected in Nvidia inspector.

Not really a "fix" as you're just killing the performance gain of DLSS in the process, making using DLSS redundant.

No such thing as a free lunch I suppose!

Yep, me to. GPU works less in TAA then SecondaryScaling=2.0 +DLSS Performance. Anyways with 3.8.10 ghosting becoming 'acceptable'

In fact the fix for DLSS ghosting just negates the advantage of DLSS. If secondary scaling with a factor higher than 1.0 is applied, you just counteract DLSS (rendering at a lower internal resolution to upscale on the screen).

Usual clickbait video.

P.S. If half of the trick this youtuber posted in the last couple of years were true, he would be the nVidia CEO now 😄

Is there any factual fps increase from grabbing a new dll for use in native frame gen in MSFS?  I have not got a new DLL just because it seems like placebo but if there is a verifiable fps increase I'd do it.
