December 11, 20241 yr I may be going nuts, but every time I check my graphic settings, they are never the same as I left them on the last flight. In fact, if I check the settings during a flight, they are not the same as I set them before the flight while still on the ground. This is not happening in MSFS 2020. Am I losing my mind or is that happening to anyone else? Thank you, Maurice I9-13900K, RTX 4090, Reverb G2, Simrig Motion platform
December 11, 20241 yr Happen to be using the nvidia app ? There is an auto optimize feature that may be causing that ?
December 11, 20241 yr My rolling cache gets reset to 16GB now and then and the default path of my Community folder changes seemingly at will but, nothing else so far. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
December 11, 20241 yr My Graphics setting haven't changed a bit, they stay put. But I had problems with my profiles, given up on renaming the Airplane's Keyboard profile, it just doesn't stick (all other profiles do tough). And my biggest gripe is the weather which defaults back from Live to a clear weather preset on an irregular basis. Yes, I just upgraded my pc and reinstalled Nvidia app. I checked and the optimize feature was on somehow. I disabled it and will try again. Thank you for the suggestion I9-13900K, RTX 4090, Reverb G2, Simrig Motion platform

It will take months before they get to working on these "minor" issues 🙂 I9-13900K, RTX 4090, Reverb G2, Simrig Motion platform
December 12, 20241 yr FYI, I've been having this problem today as well, for the first time. Loading today has been a pain, also for the first time, taking twice as long as what has been normal. Also, while loading the trailer videos that play while the program loads in have been a stutterfest, indicating bandwidth and server issues. So, it's not just you. Hopefully this is temporary and will be sorted out soon. Ken

Ok, this is either an incredible coincidence or the auto optimize was really messing things up. I disabled it and my settings are staying put now. I really cannot believe Nvidia was messing with my MSFS settings, so I have to assume something else must have happened...but who knows what? 🤔 Anyway, whatever it was that fixed it, I'm a happy camper now 🙂 I9-13900K, RTX 4090, Reverb G2, Simrig Motion platform

After checking the app more carefully, the app does indeed change the graphic settings if you enable that feature. Thank you so much for your input!!! It has saved me a lot of aggravation 👍👍👍 I9-13900K, RTX 4090, Reverb G2, Simrig Motion platform
December 12, 20241 yr What graphic settings? I had things change because it was mapped to controller buttons.

December 12, 20241 yr I guess in the long run you need to since it probably will replace the nVidia Control Panel. Just make sure "Automatically optimize newly added games and apps" is set to off. Personally, i like the NCP better then this new thingy. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. At some point NVidia will be getting rid of their control panel and forcing everyone to use the app for settings. While we all know its a WIP - it does function well and I still use it for game filters on both sims. Happy to also report that filters will save now rather then getting blown away on any version upgrades. To the OP - Happy to hear your issue was resolved. Thx Edited December 12, 20241 yr by Tony P
December 13, 20241 yr My Antialiasing setting was changing from TAA back to DLSS and I was wondering why this was happening…. Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs
