I do not fly in the real world, but even relatively simple "turn and land" procedures in the simulator (like the 09 approach at LXGB Gibraltar) require a great deal of concentration for me! That was one very smooth and precise landing in a location far more nerve wracking than Gibraltar!! December 17, 20241 yr I love it! The door is wide open for my great granddaughters is they so choose. My weather flight was Army support. We provided weather services to an armored cavalry regiment. I had two women in my unit and when I first arrived I was against women serving in combat units. They changed my mind. Even though that was almost 40 years ago one of those ladies is still in contact with me. I got a Christmas/Birthday card from her the other day. There are a lot of things that bother me in the world that has passed me by. But the role of women in former men only positions is something for me to applaud. Go Ladies...Go!
