DLSS 4 DLL's

With one click I accomplished this task for msfs2020. I'm going to have to investigate and see why it did not automatically update my msfs2024 files like it did my 2020 files.

When I say "with one click" I mean one click in the GUI of the program found here:

DLSS-Updater finds multiple games and updates the DLSS files

It found my msfs 2020 in the Steam Games folder, did not find my msfs2024 in the Xbox folders.

Can somebody check if ghosting of scrolling numbers (altitude/speed tape) is better with dlss4?

Unfortunately we don't have separate 2020 and 2024 forums on Avsim. So we don't know which sim  of the two that you are talking about.

I've tried it in both 2020 and 2024 now - ghosting/blurring on glass cockpit displays is significantly improved.

Is that with confirmed DLSS4 operating?  Also, were you set at NVSR + DLAA in  MSFS 2020?

Yup - using DLAA in both and confirmed DLSS4.

Edit to add - the ghosting isn't totally gone, but definitely way improved.

Don't think you can just replace the .dll if I'm reading this correctly, seems like you need to force the model as well to get the proper result?

In any case, crossing fingers for new drivers being right around the corner now that the 5xxx embargo is up, so we can do this natively through the drivers. EDIT: Hmm, seems people are saying the 30th? Had expected them to drop earlier. That's a shame.

The best way to find the location of where to drop the new files is to bootup 2024 and 2020 and then use taskmanger and right click on the executable such as  flightsim.exe and choose properties. It will open the path for you in file explorer where to drop the new files.

Also available through the DLSS Swapper app (which is able to find both the Steam and MS Store versions for me, across 2020 and 2024).

DLSS4 DLL version is 310.1, last DLSS3 version is 3.8.10.

Sorry uploaded the screenshots and left the house. Image size is fixed now. It was just a quick try. Looks like some fps increase and vram decrease. Going to play a bit more to see the quality differences and i'm not sure if this is the end result or that we have to wait for a patch and new nvidia driver to see the full effect.

DLSS Swapper did not yet update to DLSS4.

latest DLSS-Updater does though:

note: latest DLSS 4 DLL file version string is NOT 4, but 310.1.0.0

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

ok, he must have updated it just now. it was not when I checked earlier. but as far as I can tell he simply uploaded the single DLL 4 file, the swapper utility itself was not updated and did not install the latest DLSS 4, that's why I was using DLSS-updater instead.
