February 17, 20251 yr I've said before, I think the next logical machine learning step is having AI examine and correct photogrammetry, and then create actual 3D models of individual cities/areas rather than a Lidar or photographic point-cloud. Second might be leveling all roads (and train routes?) worldwide so they can actually be driven through reliably with things like this. Outerra would be an obvious candidate for something like this, if the programmers were not slower than molasses in winter. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. Though not exactly what you're talking about, 2024 does have some 2D->3D AI tech being used.. i.e. Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. But yes would be cool for AI to create 3D models based on analysis of photogrammetry. Hit Y to convert to slew mode, place the vehicle on the other side of the bridge, and hit Y again to return to normal operation. Not exactly realistic, but it solves the problem. Driving in the fantastic MS2024 ground scenery is very immersive -- I do it on occasion in a Mercedes I imported from FS2020 and it adds a new dimension to this sim. (Sorry, flightsim purists, but I am in it for the fun!)

Like I said in the first post, if you are unhappy with the flight dynamics of MSFS 2024, you can discuss it in this thread here: I specifically put that link in the first post, because I had a feeling people like you would come and hijack this thread and turn this into a driving vs flight sim discussion. Please don't hijack this thread, there is a whole thread dedicated to discussing the flight dynamics of MSFS 2024, you can go discuss it there. Let's keep this thread to the ground scenery, GotFriends car add-on, and other ground add-ons for MSFS 2024 in the future (ie. trains and trucks). Thanks! February 18, 20251 yr This is flight sim forum - you can't talk about flight dynamics in here!!! (Joke, inspired by a scene from Dr Strangelove)😁

The tech is coming together. Yea, what we really need is a walking down the street completely focused on a smartphone screen and ignoring the world around us addon for 2024, that would be awesome and so true to life😁

MS would look a fool if their 'official numbers' showed the other way around, wouldn't it. There's a LOT of misleading in the world today.. 🙃

I can only agree, that if the numbers would make them look like fools, they would simply not publish them. But, as they did publish that "there were twice as many 2024 users than 2020 users", we can say that the steam numbers are not telling the truth and that the opposite is true.

Where did they publish that?, must've missed it. Either way the Steam numbers don't lie, they're just an indication of what user numbers are like on that particular platform. Unfortunately we never see the MS Store numbers like steam and the game pass numbers themselves skew everything as someone might play it for five minutes then give up, but they still count so Jorg can say what he wants for marketing purposes.
