February 17, 20251 yr Looks like GotFriends is making a new add-on. But it shows the beauty of MSFS 2024. You can spawn in anywhere in the world and do this, but of course, MSFS 2024 looks the best outside of cities when at the ground level: And before people say MSFS 2024 should focus more on flight dynamics rather than driving, there is a whole thread about how MSFS 2024 has better flight dynamics than MSFS 2020, and possibly the best flight dynamics for a civilian flight simulator, so please go to this thread to discuss the flight dynamics and keep this thread restricted to the ground scenery and the nice add-on coming from GotFriends (plus, this is an add-on from a 3rd party developer - it's not from the MSFS team): Edited February 17, 20251 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
February 17, 20251 yr We will have an everything simulator within 10 years - planes, trains, cars, off road.. more. All in one persistent world. The tech is coming together. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

The tech is coming together. Adding a train simulator and a truck simulator to the world that is MSFS 2024 makes a lot of sense if they can improve how cities look, since there are already a lot of people playing train simulator and truck simulator at the moment. There should be options in the settings for flight users to disable train and truck traffic, and the same for train users, and truck users. The biggest drawback right now to train and truck simulators is that cities don't look as good at the ground level in MSFS 2024, because photogrammetry doesn't look good at ground level, but it looks good from a few hundred feet above in a plane. February 17, 20251 yr Cute and I've really no objection to it, but I kind of wish Got Friends would get back to making aircraft. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
February 17, 20251 yr Yeah, that's why I said 10 years. I don't think we are there yet.. but you can see a clear path to it. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
February 17, 20251 yr I'm assuming this kart is basically just using the ground handling physics and model of MSFS 2024 (similar to bush aircraft like XCub probably given the fat tires) along with their own visuals and further customizations 😀 Very interesting. And yup, as for MS/Asobo's digital twin earth, it has lots of applications and potential for so much more than flight sim, looking forward to what the future brings (all fingers crossed for the return of MSFS Train Sim using this new digital twin earth). That's why the suspension and wheel movement look so good and synchronized with the changing terrain. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

February 17, 20251 yr Nice, but in this all-simulator, I'm afraid the weather and atmosphere will have lower priority than they should have in a simulator of flight ...

February 17, 20251 yr Just because people here are so pedantic over what 2024 is called that is NOT a driving simulator LOL. Should be fun to toy around with for 5 minutes until we realize it's impossible to control but we have had the same in basically every other version of FS as well. 2020 had cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses, a bike you could ride if I remember correctly so it's not like this is something revolutionary. Just search driveable cars on .to The biggest issues are the areas I would really like to explore where there is PG look like melted earth from ground level 😞 I think I remember someone doing a picture thread traversing the globe in a boat in 2020 and it looked very cool... There is already a thread on another off road buggy offering started a few days ago... Edited February 17, 20251 yr by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

The tech is coming together. Not only plains, trains, cars, off road. Also trucks, busses, trams and boats and it's been already there for about 10 years : "Transport Fever" and "Transport Fever 2". Ok, main goal is to make money by running all that material on profitable lines that you set up so it's a different kettle of fish compared to a flightsimulator as such but if you want you can ride along with all those trains, planes, cars, trucks, busses, trams and boats as well ! And the beauty of it all is that you can start in the year 1850 up until now (if you're lucky you'll see Otto Liliënthal make his first glider flight 1889..) so you'll get to take part in the great and interesting spectacle of transportation development through these ages. (it's a much smaller scale of course but most of the models look fantastic) If i get bored with FS (which happens a LOT lately with all the shenanigans and monkey bussines going on with MSFS2024) i'll load up TF2 asap and enjoy the ease of creating all kinds of virtual worlds filled with beautiful cities to cater for their demands and then just a pick a train, plane, truck, tram, bus or boat and ride along to absorb myself into what i have created. ( you don't have to drive or fly anything yourself you just ride along and enjoy the scenery. What a relief ! 😀 ) Edited February 17, 20251 yr by JanGerbr
