Manually move 2020 planes to 2024

Featured Replies

Easy to do. Copy from Official 2020 folder, over to the Offical 2024 folder. Done ! No need to wait for the 2024 Library to open. Everything you bought in marketplace 2020 can drop right into 2024.

Being a fan of VR, I moved the Asobo Top Rudder 103 into 2024 because this high wing open cockpit ultralight has tremendous views every minute of the flight in VR. As he says at 2:00 in video, this is the best plane for a vertigo immersion into all 3 dimensions.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Sorry to disagree and disappoint but that simply is not true.  All of this is dependent on the level and restrictions of the DRM.  Purchases made in the marketplace likely will not work this way.  The just released Flight FX Piaggio P-180 being a case in point.

Many Community installed aircraft will work the way you describe, but Official Folder planes? Doubtful.

I tried to move over the official msfs20 Beechcraft Baron to msfs24 and because of DRM had to zip it first.  The reason for this was because I had read that this would enable me to use the Blacksquare analogue Baron in msfs24.  Sadly this did not work.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

I got a question. I downloaded a number of  liveries for msfs2024 for the 787-10. Put them in the community folder. None are showing up in msfs. They are 2020 liveries for the 787-10. What's the issue here?

I tried the exact same thing. Apparently, it doesn't work because the baron is an encrypted file........

I do it. Of course I have to then activate them in the 2024 library. It shows some sort of notice, which I ignore. And off I go flying. Cut and paste, from 2020 official to 2024 official.

I can't say it works with every plane. But I moved simple GA aircraft, vintage planes. Such as all eight of the 103 planes.

Does this apply to default 2020 planes. I really want to have the Bell 407 in 2024

Thank you. Ah yes I remember, there is this "Official 2020" folder or such. So this is where the default 2020 aircraft should be? Will give it a try after work. So far, have all the 2020 aircraft/rotary wing worked in 2024 in your case?

I've just put everything into the Community folder. The Official 2020 and Official2024 folders are empty. Everything works.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Now you need to consider naming conflicts with addons..
