Well you first posted this https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/665498-inibuilds-a350-has-been-released/page/13/#findComment-5388539 and for whatever reasons chose to drop in this bit "Also, regarding the ToLiss, we were assured addons on MSFS would be cheaper due to a larger market" to which he responded re: FF charging extra for engine expansion, etc 🤷‍♂️

I mean, I respect your opinion but what exactly did you expect? You get the A350-1000, -900 and later -900ULR for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. That's a pretty good price for a high end aircraft add on and

Well in that case I guess my reasoning would be that I use both sims and as a potential customer I'm wondering why Inibuilds' A350 is priced so highly relative to higher fidelity addons on either platform?

1) The A350 is demonstrably lower quality in terms of systems (note: I'm not saying it's a bad product, just that it doesn't have the systems depth behind it)
2) there's a much larger market on MSFS - we've been repeatedly told that X-Plane addons are "too expensive" and developers for MSFS are able to charge less and still make a lot of money.

The inibuilds A350 costs roughly the same amount of money as the ToLiss A330. That makes no sense to me considering the two points above.

Once again, the discussion in this forum is not about XP addons or their prices, not sure who is "we" and who has been telling you that XP addons are too expensive and developers for MSFS are able to charge less, but perhaps you can hash out that discussion in the XP forum? 🙂

That topic certainly wasn't brought up on this thread, as it is about the A350 for MSFS. And secondly, the pricing that iniBuilds chose for the A350 (which includes the -900, -1000 and ULR variants, and versions of all these for MSFS 2020 and 2024) is not necessarily a reflection of other MSFS add-on prices, or the general trend of MSFS add-on pricing for low to medium to high fidelity addons from various devs, however cheap or expensive said add-ons may be.

I didn't read 28 other pages completely... but for anyone finding it useful, I think inibuilds did a really great job when it comes to LVARs. I am just setting up my Stream Desk Plus, and first I was cursing the hell out of everything, but now I am really finding myself at home with what they did. For everything FCU, they have separate LVARs, like button push, pull, light on or off, and the whole very nice documentation of everything:

Just did LFBO-EGLL delivery flight - first impressions:

  • This is a diamond in the rough - it's already very enjoyable and I think it will only get better.
  • Visuals are stunning inside and out.
  • Sounds could do with a bit of work.
  • Flight model seemed fine overall, might need a little bit of tweaking but then I'm not a real A350 pilot so what do I know (simply comparing to the Fenix/PMDG 777).
  • Didn't have any crashes or WASM issues.
  • Performance was good, slightly worse than Fenix but then this is a much larger aircraft with a lot more screens in the flight deck.
  • A lot of cool new features like BTV and enhanced TCAS.
  • Auto-tune of radios worked on and off with BATC, this needs fixing.
  • Coming from the A320 family it was a bit of a learning curve to get used to all the new features of the A350 but with a bit of time those are really cool and add so much to the experience. There are a lot of new systems in the backend and the MCDU is very different but then still follows the same philosophy so it feels quite familiar and didn't take me long to find my way around.

All in all I'm very happy. I usually only fly Fenix and PMDG. Whilst this isn't on that level it's very enjoyable and has loads of new and innovative features that will keep me entertained for quite a while I think. Price point is probably a bit on the high side for what's offered here but I am optimistic that this product will only get better with time. I briefly tested the auto sim rate feature - be aware that it's got the same issue as default sim rate increase in MSFS 2024 - sim time doesn't accelerate with the sim rate, so when you fly 4x the time in sim still only progresses at 1x. I hope this gets fixed soon but seem to be more of an Asobo issue to fix.

I`m a bit puzzled regarding the GSX integration. Everything is supposed to be handled via the EFB, e.g. loading the aircraft and pushback? I did not find anything useful about this in the manual or over at iniBuilds FAQ.

Yes, you can toggle it on or off in the EFB. When on, the GSX window is deactivated and you select the options from a drop down on the EFB Ground page.

Thanks! I’ll try this on my next flight.

Hello, two questions from my first flight.

1) In the image here, I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting something, but the knob for the map range is set at 10, but the map itself is one setting lower?  It's like this for all ranges from what I can tell.

https://imgur.com/Bgmk5kq

2) What's the best way to deactivate the autopilot?  Normally in A320/A330's I can just deselect the AP button(s) and then cancel the flashing red alarm, but in the A350 that didn't work, the alarm continues to sound.  Perhaps I need to use the red button on the in game control stick?  Is there a keybind for that?  My usual toggle autopilot command didn't work.

Beyond these wo things I enjoyed my first flight, definitely some things to get used to when you're used to older Airbuses.  Lots of fun overall though and I look forward to getting more proficient with the A350.

EDIT: Aaaaargh, side note, can anyone advise on the best way to get images to display on the forum now?  It used to be possible to use [img] tags from imgur to embed images directly here at Avsim but that doesn't appear to work anymore.

We really need some sort of native ability to embed images here at Avsim, but I guess that's for a different thread.

1  you can zoom  below the actual map range less  than10, if your sitting on the ramp select map mode  than  scroll down on  the  range and  you will see  the taxi way appear on the map for  taxing

2   press  the disconnect button  than too silence  the horn  look at co pilot  stick and  press the red button (just to add  very good info in the faqs as well in  the ini forums)

Right click on the image, open in new tab. Then just copy the url into the post.

yep same here my go to aircraft now, havn't had any issues as of yet. Other  than trying to calibrate my throttles didn't work first time around. Setting up the efb  and  fms is so much better  now.
