From memory the RJ doesn't have auto throttle. Does the bouncing follow manual throttle adjustments won approach to the runway> T45
April 1, 20251 yr Author Yes, I have experienced it on ILS approaches. The Avro RJ does have an autothrottle. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
April 1, 20251 yr Can you post a video of what it looks like? I flew into CYYJ last night (2020) and the descent felt fine. A little bouncy but about what I'd expect from a small plane. What are your turbulence settings at?
April 1, 20251 yr Author Turbulence is basically non existent on my flights, and the winds are very light. I prefer nice, relaxed flying Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
April 1, 20251 yr Author Well, this was an interesting response to my support ticket @ JustFlight..... "This issue is currently under investigation by our development team. We believe something has happened within the System.cfg which is causing this. Hopefully a fix will become available soon, and you will receive an email about any updates to the RJ Professional". I guess this must mean that other users are suffering from the same problem. The question is.....why are you guys not experiencing the same? April 1, 20251 yr Hi, no bouncing here at landing all models. Do you set airbrake out 50ft before tochdown, and also smooth reduce power to idle? Set airbrakes out at landing is really a "must have" with the avros. Planes will bounce at landing when speed ist to high, or descend rate to high..
April 1, 20251 yr Author The "bounce" (serious up and down pitching) has nothing whatsoever to do with landing. I have only done short test circuits at a handful of airports, and this problem is evident at several thousand feet. April 5, 20251 yr Oh, sorry, I recognize a “translation problem”: In German usage, “bouncing” is only used in the aircraft as I know it when rocking up during the landing process. what you mean as "bounce" i also see in the Maddog. The Maddog also going up and down during cruise.
