2024 FPS Progress! Stutters....Well

Featured Replies

Finally have good FPS but the stutters are awful. Is there anything to minimize this? I see the content creators using the GA stuff and seems ok.  But the Airliners are just terrible. Worse than I remember 2020 Ever being. Any suggestions?

I had to leave the Beta and go back to the current build to avoid the dreaded stutters. The beta was absolutely ruinous for me.    Still get a couple on the ground and while going along the runway.

Its your VRAM. Turn off raytrace and lower your textures to medium. Go to developer mode and display your FPS and watch your VRAM at the bottom of the FPS display

I can’t rid of some weird stutter with popping audio that annoys me. Smooth locked 60 FPS with FG. I literally can go up to 120 unlocked in FPS. Even with the AutoFPS mod.

Have you noticed it with any specific aircraft or addon?

Win 11 24H2 caused this for me so went back to 23H2 and all has been well since, the audio popping issue exceedingly annoying!  But this was several months back now....

I'm also on 24H2 and can't revert to 23 since it's past the 10 day window.  Those popping sounds and audio stutters is what keeps me on 2020 until 24 gets that resolved

Audio popping because of a Windows 11 update ?

This is still a thing ?

Yes heard that many out there with popping sounds and other audio issues seem to stem from Win 11 24H2

Does the textures setting affect terrain textures?  I'd happily lower the airport scenery texture but I want things to be crisp while flying.
